Oak Forest RV Park, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We had a good stay at the park. Quiet at night. The park is currently expanding so during the day the construction machinery noise was noticeable. The concrete pad was narrow as others have noted. The park advertises free cable, but receiving cable stations requires using a cable box, which is free for the daily rate, but I was told that they didn't have any more cable boxes available and there were probably 6 empty daily rate sites available. We were able to receive several over-the-air TV channels. We camped here in our Motorhome. We will consider returning to this park. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Texan RV Park, Athens, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice quiet park in a rural setting. There are two ponds with fishing piers. We were in site #22 that backed up to one of the ponds. The owner and staff personnel are super friendly. The laundry facility and restrooms were very clean. The sites are mainly packed gravel/dirt/grass but we had little problem with leveling. The site had a concrete patio with picnic table. All hook ups were well placed and fully functional. Local TV station reception was excellent from the roof antenna. We camped at Texan RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pioneer Beach Resort, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2006 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 nights and had a great time. Our site number 325 was right at the boardwalk that goes to the beach. We could hear the ocean surf at our site. The staff was very friendly. The resort is clean and well maintained. Cable TV costs extra, but worth it. WiFi is free and a little slower than our DSL service at home. The premium sites have plenty of room. We would definitely go back. It will be a shame if the resort closes next year. We camped at Pioneer Beach Resort in a Motorhome.
