Treasure Coast RV Park & Campground, Fort Pierce, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2019 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

The first impression on entering the campground is good. All interior roads are paved. The sites are are well manicured. Each site has a level concrete pad, full hook-ups, and a picnic table. Most sites have some shade. No problems with the WiFi or cable TV, except that the TV is Analog and not Digital. - thought all cable was digital now? So the picture is good, just not great. The only complaint is about the management team that runs the park. Each smells like they had just come off a smoke break. Heaven forbid if you question the man (manager). He will quickly tell you he knows everything and you must follow the rules. Other than that, it is very nice, neat and clean place to stay. We camped at Treasure Coast RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins (Adult Only 21+), Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice owners who are very fastidious about their park on everything except the underbrush and trees. They really need to do some trimming. Probably spent quite a bit on new concrete pads and the driveway. A top notch digital cable system with 100 channels. Water Pressure - be forewarned, it is great for taking a shower but heck on your RV system. Make sure you have a regulator installed. All that being said, we have no problem recommending this location to others. The only issue we had was the cost - $69 a nite is just way to much for what you get. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins (Adult Only 21+) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About 7 miles into downtown Helen. Only 4 miles to entrance for Ruby Falls. Betty's Country store only 10 minutes or so away. Great place for groceries, snacks, lunch - even a coffee bar. Ain't B"s bakery across the street is a fun place to visit.

Moutardier COE, Leitchfield, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is another example of a good COE park. It is quite large and is built on the side of a hill overlooking the lake. There are about 5 different levels (heights) so you are not looking in your neighbors window. The camp hosts and maintenance staff are always available and are constantly driving around to make sure all is OK. Generally the sites are spaced out quite a bit. Someone actually was thinking when they planned this location. A real surprise was the water pressure. It was really high. Great if you want a strong shower, but a disaster if you don't have a pressure regulator. The only downside - the rest rooms really need some cleaning and/or updating. We camped at Moutardier COE in a Motorhome.

About 35 minutes to Mammoth Cave visitor center. This is a really good place if you just want to relax. However, the nearest Wal-Mart or other shopping is at least 15 miles.

Manchester KOA, Manchester, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This location is laid out a bit better than many KOA's. This one actually has spots for big rigs. The only downside is that like most KOA's it is over priced for what it is. Right next to the Interstate made sleeping a challenge. Water pressure and cable were good. Pool looked nice - but to many frolicking kids in there for us to use it. However, it is a convenient location and we would stop here again. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.

Twin Oaks RV Park, Elko, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here on the way North. Easy on and off for I-75. Owners are very friendly. Passport America discount made this stop a 'no-brainer'. Most sites are shaded so satellite reception could be spotty. Will stop here again when traveling I-75. We camped at Twin Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

St Lucie South COE, Stuart, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is for sure one of the nicest and well run COE park we have ever visited. Although it is small - only 9 RV lots, it was clearly constructed to accommodate newer and larger RV's. Concrete pads, fire pit, grill and covered picnic tables. The only thing it does not provide is sewer hook ups. But, the dump station is easily accessible. There is also a large play area for children. Very quiet and picturesque location - yet it is only 2 miles from shopping, dining, etc. We camped at St Lucie South COE in a Motorhome.

Bayou Bend RV Resort, Baytown, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I know this is a repeat of last years review - but everything is the same. We will continue to stop here where we are in this area. This is a great place to stay if you want to visit the MANY Houston attraction. The sites are all concrete pads. Water pressure is good, Cable is Okay - the WiFi could be better. But this is typical of RV parks. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the Houston area. Only real downside is that the sites seemed very close together. But, land is probably at a premium in this area. We camped at Bayou Bend RV Resort in a Motorhome. We camped at Bayou Bend RV Resort in a Motorhome.

San Antonio / Alamo KOA, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

As far as KOA's go - this one is much nicer than most. Many older KOA's have a problem accommodating large rigs towing a vehicle. Here, the roads are easy to navigate and entry and exit to your site is no problem. The only negative with this and generally all KOA's - is that they are priced to high for what you are getting. However,we will visit here again when in the area. The on-site restaurant and meeting hall is a great place to stop , chat and meet new friends. We camped at San Antonio / Alamo KOA in a Motorhome.

Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here for an over-nite stay while traveling on I-10. We arrived late so did not use any of the facilities. The sites are wider than many RV parks and long enough for a pull-thru. They all appear to be very level. Only negative is the roads are a little narrow. This becomes a problem if your neighbors are using the full length of their site and you are trying to enter or leave. Other than that, we would stay here again. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Travelers Campground, Alachua, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice , clean and well laid out campground. The service staff are friendly and helpful. Only negative - just way too expensive for what it is and where it is at. It is next to I-75 but road noise was not much of an issue since many sites sit down a little hill from the highway. We camped at Travelers Campground in a Motorhome.

Stagecoach RV Park, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Decided to camp here for a few days while visiting the area. This location was clearly designed with large RV's and 5th wheel Rv's in mind. Nearly all the sites are pull-thru and much wider than we have seen at many other places. Sites are very level and most have a concrete pad and picnic table. Excellent digital cable. All sites have some trees, but satellite should work well. The water pressure is very good - you may need to use a regulator. Less than a mile to shopping, restaurants and I-95. We camped at Stagecoach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs, Silver Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

To start with - if you are in a large DP and staying less than 1 week - they will put you in the Village Park section. That alone should be enough reason not to go there. If, however, you are staying for more than 1 week, they will put you in the Preserve Estates section. That is a totally different area that was specifically designed for large RV's and is very well laid out. Unfortunately, we were staying less than 1 week so we were told that was not available to us. The entire Village Park section of 142 lots only had 2 small size Gas Class A's and for good reason. The streets are very narrow with branches overhanging in some areas. Cable has 15 channels and there is no WiFi. If we had been put in the section designed for Class A's - our review would be much more positive. The staff are friendly and the grounds are very well kept. Now back to our site - there was a picnic table that was very small and had to have been there since the Civil War. The spacing was "okay". But certainly not very spacious. Way overpriced for what we got. Calling it a "Resort" doesn't make it true. You need modern amenities. We camped at Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs in a Motorhome.

Punkin Park Campground, Hammond, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Been there - done that - don't need to go back. Grossly overpriced for what it is. The web site says it is 1.6 miles from I-10. Wrong. The road leading to it is 1.6 miles, but the park is actually right beside the right of way fence to the Interstate. The entrance road is very narrow with steep ditch on each side. Just hope no one is coming. Impossible for a big RV and any other vehicle to pass. We camped at Punkin Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Airport Park COE, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

As with most COE parks - this place is a fantastic water themed vacation area. The roads are all paved and easy to navigate. Nearly all the sites have some trees so shade from the hot sun is generally available. The only downside is trying to get to this place. If you are not a local - you will likely have great difficulty in finding it. The address (Skeet Eason Rd) is actually an access road around the airport. There is no signage telling you that you need to go further to get to the actual park entrance - and even then, the sign is not very big or visible. Granted, this is not that big a deal in a car - except if you have a 40ft Rv and are towing. There is no place to turn around. But once you finally get here - you will likely love the setting. We camped at Airport Park COE in a Motorhome.

Rocking A RV Park, Vernon, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good place to stop when traveling between Dallas/Ft Worth and Amarillo. The lots are level and spacious. Water pressure and cable are good. It is next door to a Walmart so you can stock up on supplies if needed. The only downside is the trains. It is next to the main line of BNSF railroad so it can be noisy at night depending on train schedule. We camped at Rocking A RV Park in a Motorhome.
