Bathrooms and clubhouse completely redone and are excellent. Wifi is excellent in clubhouse but occasionally spotty in park itself. Sites are very spacious. We camped at Borrego Holiday Home Park in a Travel Trailer.

San Diego Metro KOA, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

WiFi was very poor. We had to sign up for Verizon extra data which worked great but was expensive. Showers work great but are a bit narrow. Good laundry room and good cafe with great breakfast burritos. We camped at San Diego Metro KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Great location with Grocery Outlet, Walmart, Starbucks nearby. We bought $25 monthly bus pass which was good on light rail trains as well. Used it to go everywhere around San Diego. Great Vietnamese restaurant in strip mall half mile away on Sweetwater Street.

Point of Rocks RV Campground, Prescott, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff, beautiful campground, wide easy back-in sites, and excellent wi-fi. About a half mile, bit rough trail to amazing Watson Lake with beautiful rock formations. That alone will have us return.
About ten minute drive to Prescott and Costco, Tuesday Morning, etc and charming old town with many cool shops. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Borrego Holiday Home Park, Borrego Springs, California

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We loved our stay here and have reserved for Mar 2017. This park's new owners have renovated completely: great restrooms, clubhouse, pool, and great wifi as did not have to use our wifi extender. Only about two miles from town of Borrego Springs, 90 minutes to Temecula, 60 minutes to Palm Springs. We camped at Borrego Holiday Home Park in a Travel Trailer.

Leapin' Lizard RV Ranch, Borrego Springs, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly, helpful owners and staff. Great showers/restrooms. Sites are wide and deep with shrubbery in between for privacy. New pool will be excellent when ready by May 1st or sooner. A bit out of the way with town of Borrego Springs about 20 miles away. Seven pound bag of ice ($3) available on site. Only downside: wifi limited to 4 hours max per day with absolutely no streaming. After 4 hours system cuts you off till next day. But, we drove to the library in town (excellent 24/7 wifi) and were on-line and streaming. We camped at Leapin' Lizard RV Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

About two hours drive to Temecula and 90 mins to Indio, Palm Desert, and Palm Springs. There are two Costco's in that general area since the local grocery store in B. Springs mark their prices up quite a bit for our budget.
Amazing Mexican food at Rincon Nortino cantina in Indio.

Rolle's Lynda Vista RV Park (55+ park), Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

As noted by others, a lower working class area but very safe. Older park with unkept grassy sites but concrete patios. Very quiet park with friendly fellow rv'ers. Mgmt is very friendly and helpful.

Pool is small and only open at certain times. One old shuffleboard but appears useable. We feel very comfortable here and love it's twelve minute drive to Algodones for our dental work which is an extremely safe place with great food and swarming with Americans and Canadians.

Wifi is free but for extra $2 per day and our Netgear extender ($35 on Amazon) it was very fast.

Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Rolle's Lynda Vista RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park), Phoenix, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very, very nice restrooms/showers and one way entrance/exit. Two excellent shuffleboard courts and a nice small pool. And three person hot tub.

Very quiet park with no nuisance barking dogs. I-17 freeway close enough to hear but not too loud. Wifi was very slow till we used our Netgear router and purchased - on tengonet's rep recommendation, a Netgear wifi extender ($28). But, you must call your router/wifi support to walk you thru to connect on Tengonet's network. Once connected this way, wifi is much faster.

This park is very quiet with mostly RVer's and just a few park models. I estimate this location to be about 15 miles NW of North Scottsdale. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Costco five minutes away south on I-17, while Walmart, Best Buy, TJ Max, Staples, Lowes, Pier1, Barnes and Noble, etc., only five minutes north on I-17.

Very large Mayo Hospital/Clinic about 14 minutes away going East on 101 freeway.

Mission View RV Park (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Overall a nice park except Tucson Airport jet takeoffs from about 8 to 9am were very loud. Main annoyance were the number of unattended owners barking dogs as their owners went sightseeing. Good showers/restrooms, and wifi but a wifi extender is recommended. Very friendly neighbors in the whole park and a nice pool. Overall very good location for Tucson sightseeing. Staff is very efficient and friendly. We camped at Mission View RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects yearly 3,000 payment decided by 365 days. We required a home base for our trailer as we travelled weeks at a time. A week after we signed for the year, the owner sold to Thousand Trails and the overall experience at this 1400+ rv "resort" took a step down overall. Almost all of the "workampers" did not return for 2016 due to mgmt issues with pay and work schedules. There are two very nice pools and four hot tubs in the main clubhouse area. About every ten days the water in the park would be shut down without warning for about 30 mins or so.

Every Sat morning there is a wonderful and large craft bazar and a very popular and largely attended Bingo that same night. The main clubhouse cafe served many lunches and dinners during the week that were of good quality and reasonably priced.

There are many and very well maintained shuffle boards and about 16 immaculate pool tables at the main clubhouse. Very good wifi and cable as well. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.
