Desert Eagle RV Park (Military FamCamp), Nellis AFB, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Great staff. We stayed in the old section, we like the long pull thrus & lots of trees, shade is very important in July. Level concrete pad with concrete patio. Lots of room between sites. All paved roads. Easy to maneuver any size RV in campground. Good AT&T cellular. Did not use WiFi, which they have, since we visited friends & just slept here 1 night. Have stayed here many times & will always stay here when in Las Vegas. We camped at Desert Eagle RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Cedar City KOA, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are close together. Our gravel site was not level, had to use pads under front tires & jacks to get level. Didn't notice anyone around us with a leveling problem. Utilities are in good location making it easy to connect to & they all worked fine. Easy to maneuver in campground. Stayed here to visit friends living in area so did not spend time in campground except to sleep. Did not us WiFi, AT&T cellular was good. We would stay here again if in this area. We camped at Cedar City KOA in a Motorhome.

Green River State Park, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, lots of trees for shade. Right on Green River with launch ramp & place for families to be in the water. Utilities worked fine. Some sites had utilities on wrong side. Some sites were pretty far out of level. All sites were asphalt. Most sites were good. Staff that checked me in was nice but not knowledgeable about the campsites. I would not call this big rig friendly. Lots of trees, close to road & in some sites, to maneuver around. We drove thru all the other RV parks here, at time of writing this, there were 3 others. We would stay at this campground again if in Green River. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA, Silt, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was great. Hook ups were at front of site, very bad location. Need to pull as far forward as possible or have extensions for water & power. Grass needed cutting & gravel pad needed weeding. Concrete patio was nice, retro table & chairs are cute but not comfortable. The water front sites looked real nice & if traveling thru again I would get one of those. We camped at Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

Peregrine Pines FamCamp (Military FamCamp), US Air Force Academy, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Pull thru site with no one next to us. Great views from our patio area. Had to use leveling blocks to level. Utilities worked fine & easy to connect. Gravel site long enough for RV & towed. Patio area also gravel with metal picnic table. Good AT&T cell service. Friendly, professional & helpful staff. Have stayed here several time & will keep coming back when in the area. We camped at Peregrine Pines FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Covered Bridge RV Park & Storage, Fenton, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

They just reopened after being flooded. We chose this campground for it's location close to friends were wanted to visit. The road in to campground needs some serious work, very large potholes. Sites are concrete with room for RV & towed. Utilities worked fine. Power is easy to connect. Water was not easy to connect, it is below ground level. Friendly, professional staff. If they fix the entry road & flood damage this could be a nice park but if coming thru St Louis again I would not stay here. We camped at Covered Bridge RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Dodge City KOA, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great location in the middle of town. Level concrete site long enough for RV & car, wide enough to include table & patio area. Some of the back in sites were very small, would not fit a 30' RV & car/truck. Utilities worked fine & placed for easy connection. When WiFi worked it was good, but it was not always working. AT&T cell service good. Grass needed to be cut. Located next to the city water park so campground didn't have it's own pool. It's really hot in Dodge City in the summer. Would have liked to have a pool on site rather then having to pack things in the car, drive to water park & pay to get in a very crowded water park. We drove thru couple other campgrounds in the area, if a pool is not needed this KOA is the nicest place to stay. We camped at Dodge City KOA in a Motorhome.

Terre Haute KOA, Terre Haute, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed just 1 night with no reservation. Only site available was the super premium site. Level concrete pad with large concrete patio area. Round table with umbrella & 4 large chairs. Nice fire pit we didn't use since it close to 90/90, temperature & humidity. Hook ups well place & worked fine. For 1 night we didn't hook sewer up but our site had 2 sewer connections making it easy to hook sewer up wherever it's located on your RV. Wifi worked, also good AT&T cell service. Did not hook up cable. Staff was friendly & professional. One oddity was getting one of their freshly made cookies. You had to bring the park map they give you when checking in to the office to get a cookie. I was in the office buying ice & asked for a cookie. I was told I would have to walk back to my RV, get my map, walk back to the office to get 1 cookie. I don't mind walking, I usually walk around the campground to check it out, but this just seemed silly to me. As always, KOA pricing is high & campgrounds are set up for family's. Lots of activities here including a small animal petting area. Pool was clean inviting. It was dry when we stayed but staff said it can have flooded & muddy areas if it rains a lot. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

Scenic Hills RV Park, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a large back-in site. Roads are wide, paved & big rig friendly. All sites have gravel pads & are level. Some sites are all gravel all around & some have grass on both sides of gravel pad. Hook ups all worked fine. Some sites, ours was one, have hook ups far from coach. Water connection was on the wrong side of the coach & 25' away. 50 amp power & sewer were in better location & on the correct side of the coach. WiFi was not good but AT&T cell service was good. Free fire wood & the best fire pits we've seen in a long time. Location is perfect for touring the Amish country. We drove thru a couple RV parks in the area & would stay here at Scenic Hills again if in this area. We camped at Scenic Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Western Village RV Park, Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 1 night to visit friends in the area. Site was dirt, luckily it didn't rain. Site was not level, had to use blocks under front tire & jack to get level without lifting tire off the ground. Plug to to 50amp power only, didn't use water of sewer for just the 1 night. Power worked fine. Easy in & out for any size rig. Was was large enough for coach & towed to stay connected if you wanted to. WiFi & AT&T cell both work fine. Would stay here again for an overnight but not for an extended stay. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort, Freedom, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate indicates special pricing for that time of year plus other discounts (free weekend for military, half price some other nights, etc.). All hook ups worked & were easy to connect to. WiFi was good, AT&T cell service not good, sometimes had spotty service, sometimes no service. Cable was not working but they were the process of upgrading that, we saw Spectrum service people working in the campground. Roads are gravel & easy to navigate for any size rig. Campsite was dirt & huge, could have park 2 large coaches with toads & had room left over. Largest campsite we have ever stayed at. It rained a lot but ground did not get muddy. Lots of things to rent for the lake. 2 large pools. Store was well stocked. Propane available but a little tight to get Motorhomes. We would stay here again. We camped at Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Watkins Glen / Corning KOA, Watkins Glen, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 nights here. Gravel back in site with large concrete patio, table, swing chair (broken) & fire pit. Site was large enough for my 35' coach & towed parked in front. All hook ups were in good working order & easy to connect to. Wifi worked "OK" when the campground was mostly empty, when their were a few people around the WiFi was worthless. None to one bar for AT&T cell service. When it rained, & it rained a lot when we were there, there were large pools of standing water everywhere. They need to do something about drainage. You can hear the cars practicing/racing at The Glenn, that didn't bother us. Lots of amenities for kids but I would like to see a tiered pricing structure with lower pricing for those traveling without children & not using those amenities. We camped at Watkins Glen / Corning KOA in a Motorhome.

Bellefonte / State College KOA, Bellefonte, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

We joined KOA & have stayed at many of their campgrounds. For us, with no children, they are all over priced but usually the only decent choice in that area. This campground has all the amenities for the kids. The spaces are very tight, you'll get to know your neighbors. We were here just one night. 50 amp electric worked fine. Did not hook up water or sewer. Our back in site was just long enough for our coach & towed parked sideway in front. Small concrete patio area with table. Gravel site & gravel (narrow) roads. 20 minutes to State College. We would not stay here for an extended stay. We camped at Bellefonte / State College KOA in a Motorhome.

Stone Mountain Park, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park across the lake from Stone Mountain. Roads are broken asphalt & very tight in some places. Some back in sites looked like they were tight & difficult to back in. We had to use leveling blocks to get level. Utilities were easy to connect to & they worked (did not connect sewer). We were here 1 night only. Staff were very friendly, professional & helpful. I agree with others that paying to enter the park to get to the campground that your going to pay for is not right. We camped at Stone Mountain Park in a Motorhome.
