Kaskaskia Dragon RV Park, Vandalia, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

If you make a reservation online, you are charged a $5 transaction fee, which they said is what Reserve America charges them. We usually use this park as an overnight stop, when we are traveling along I-70. The only TV we could get was satellite. Their wi-fi worked well, for awhile, then it went off. Not sure if only worked while the hardware store was open, or it stopped because of the thunderstorm. AT&T hotspot worked well here. Sites are all gravel and connections are well marked. No picnic tables and no fire rings. They do have a fire breathing dragon, which you have to feed tokens, which you can get at the hardware store, when you check in. We camped at Kaskaskia Dragon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Seaview Campground, Cottages and Motel, Eastport, Maine

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We came here for the view. When we checked in, they gave us a whole packet of information, as well as maps of the area, and recommendations on where to go and what to see. Our site was the pull-thru closest to the bay, so we had a nice view of the water. Our site was mostly grass, with some gravel. We had no problems getting leveled, but the passenger rear wheel was off the ground, so I put pads under it. AT&T cell phones worked well, even though being so close to Canada, we were no longer on the AT&T network. There is cable TV here, but some of the channels are fuzzy. Satellite TV was good, but we couldn't get any OTA channels. The wi-fi was, like most parks, spotty, working well sometimes, and not working at all sometimes. We would stay here again. We camped at Seaview Campground, Cottages and Motel in a Motorhome.

Pumpkin Patch RV Resort, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park being run by nice, helpful people. The interior roads are gravel, while our site had more rocks. There wasn't much shade, but it looks like trees had been planted and needed to mature. All the utilities worked fine, and it was easy to get connected. OTA television wasn't bad, but we had to keep adjusting our antenna and never could get NBC. Satellite TV was good, as was our AT&T cell phones and hot spot. The park's wi-fi was spotty, at best, and we had to use our hotspots about half the time. We would return. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Canoe River Campground, Mansfield, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Like others have said, this is an older campground. We found that this is gated park, so make sure to take your key card. Check in was fast, the people were friendly and helpful. They have a limo that will take you to the train station, which is nice and will save you on having to pay for parking. All the connections were easy to locate. The wi-fi was satisfactory, even though you had to sign in every day. We had to keep adjusting our TV antenna, to get local channels. Being in the pull thru area, we didn't have trees to block the satellite TV, so it was fine. We found the road, into the pull-thru area there to be dirt, which had a lot of holes that needed to filled in and leveled. Our coach bounced around like a roller coaster. Our site, as was the whole pull-thru area was grass, dirt, and some gravel. It was kind of hard, in places to tell what was road and what was a site, since the grass has grown up thru the gravel. We camped at Canoe River Campground in a Motorhome.

AA Royal Motel & Campground, North Tonawanda, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the cheaper places to stay in the Niagara Falls area, and it also one of the closest. This is a basically a circle drive behind a motel, with some RV sites. Getting in and out is a little tight, for a big rig, but doable. When we checked in, the person behind the counter gave us some brochures about tours in the area, a county map, and one of the tourist information magazines. When we got to our site, we found the asphalt at the back of the site had sunk, so we couldn't park at the back of the coach. This resulted in us of having to park our tow on the interior road. Satellite and OTA TV worked well. Their wi-fi was better then most and worked well, most of the time. AT&T cell phones worked well, as did our hotspots, when we used them. We camped at AA Royal Motel & Campground in a Motorhome.

Cardinal Center Campground, Marengo, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

It was a little strange getting into the park. Our GPS took us to the restaurant, where you will see signs on how to get to the campground. Checking in was easy, since we had already paid, and we got directions to our site. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the site. You could almost put 2 of our coaches, with tow, on the site. Our site didn't have a picnic table, but it probably wasn't needed, as we were right next to a shelter, which had several tables. We only stayed one night, but this was our second time here, and we would recommend it for an extended stay. We camped at Cardinal Center Campground in a Motorhome.

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Overall Rating:

Nice park, that is just a couple miles off the highway, in a mixed area of residents and businesses. Check-in was easy and the employees were friendly and helpful. Almost every day, we saw an employee out cleaning or performing some type of maintenance. We would stay here again. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Motorhome.

Dumplin Valley RV, Kodak, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The sites, as others have noted are nothing, but grass and/or gravel. We had a site that was mostly gravel. Even with the gravel, when we checked in, we were told to put pads down, due to the amount of rain they had received, and even with the gravel, the sites were soft. The sites were decent size, with enough room to park our tow in front of or behind the RV. There was no shade and no amenities. There is a go-kart race track across the street, which was a little loud, if you were outside, but not bad inside our coach. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Motorhome.

Pine Bluffs RV Park, Pine Bluffs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a work in progress. Pine Bluffs sold the park back in September, I believe. The new owners are in the process of fixing the place and trying to make it nicer. When we arrived, the building was open, but no one was there. We were contacted by an employee and told him we had a reservation, when the owner arrived, we were led to our site. They were doing a lot of work while we were there, putting down gravel, leveling the sites, new electrical boxes, new water connections, and adding street lights. We stayed here a week to explore the area. It was about the best park in the area we could find for the price. We camped at Pine Bluffs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside RV Park, Livingston, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The park is close to I-12, with easy access to the highway. The park is clean and well maintained. The interior roads are paved and the sites are concrete. There was a lot of rain there the past few days, so the ground was soggy, with standing water by the sewer connection. Satellite and OTA TV worked well, as did our AT&T cell phones. They use Tengonet for their wi-fi, which worked very well. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pensacola Beach RV Resort, Pensacola Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

When we checked in, they gave us an access card for the pool, laundry, and showers. They also had someone guide us to the site, and they offered to help get us backed in and connected. Our site was pretty good on the passenger side, but a little close on the driver's side. If our driver's side slide had been working, it would have almost touched the neighbor's RV. The interior roads as asphalt, and the pads are concrete, with a picnic table. There was plenty of room to park the tow behind the coach, since it was a pull-in site. The park sits on the Pensacola Bay, with its own beach, and some tables, chairs, and umbrellas on the beach. This park is one of the cleanest and best maintained we have seen in 4 years of full-timing. We camped at Pensacola Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Avalon Landing RV Park, Milton, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We had our coach in the shop and let them know we would be in after office hours, so they said they would text us the info and directions to our site. When we got there, someone was in the office, so they opened it up and let us check in, giving us the weekly rate discount, one night free. They then had someone guide us to our site, even though it was after hours. This a nice, clean park just off of I-10, so it is easy to get in and out of. We had a pull-in that faced the canal, so we could look out the windshield and see the pelicans. The park is very clean and just about every day, we saw park personnel out and about doing maintenance. Cable and satellite TV worked well, as did their wi-fi. They do allow you to wash your rig for a $5 fee. We would stay here again. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

We came in for one night and when we checked in, I told them our jacks were broken and asked for a level site. They put us in one of the pull-thrus, #64, and someone guided us to the site. At the site, our guide stopped us when we got to the area of the site that was the most level. The park is close to I-10, with easy on and off access. No problems with the connections. Cable, satellite, and OTA TV worked well. We didn't use the wi-fi. We camped at Pensacola RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We came in. just for one night. The park is right off of I-10, with easy on and off access. The check in process was easy and quick, with easy and a map to get to our site. We were one of their big rig sites, which was a good place for those spending one night. It was easy to get connected and the site seemed pretty level. especially since out leveling jacks weren't working. Satellite and OTA TV worked well. We would stay here again. Manatee Hammock Campground, Titusville, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We got there after the office was closed and what we thought was the office, is not the office, even though it is in front of the park, with RV parking spaces. After looking for the office, another camper gave me directions. We made it to our site, the roads were a little tight, but manageable. The site was mostly sand and not very level, but we managed. The site was larger then most, with plenty of room on the passenger side, but pretty close to the neighbor on the driver's side. The wi-fi was spotty, but worked well most of the time. Satellite and OTA TV worked well, as did our AT&T phones and hotspots. We camped at Manatee Hammock Campground in a Motorhome.
