Lakeside RV Park, Livingston, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The park is close to I-12, with easy access to the highway. The park is clean and well maintained. The interior roads are paved and the sites are concrete. There was a lot of rain there the past few days, so the ground was soggy, with standing water by the sewer connection. Satellite and OTA TV worked well, as did our AT&T cell phones. They use Tengonet for their wi-fi, which worked very well. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pensacola Beach RV Resort, Pensacola Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

When we checked in, they gave us an access card for the pool, laundry, and showers. They also had someone guide us to the site, and they offered to help get us backed in and connected. Our site was pretty good on the passenger side, but a little close on the driver's side. If our driver's side slide had been working, it would have almost touched the neighbor's RV. The interior roads as asphalt, and the pads are concrete, with a picnic table. There was plenty of room to park the tow behind the coach, since it was a pull-in site. The park sits on the Pensacola Bay, with its own beach, and some tables, chairs, and umbrellas on the beach. This park is one of the cleanest and best maintained we have seen in 4 years of full-timing. We camped at Pensacola Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Avalon Landing RV Park, Milton, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We had our coach in the shop and let them know we would be in after office hours, so they said they would text us the info and directions to our site. When we got there, someone was in the office, so they opened it up and let us check in, giving us the weekly rate discount, one night free. They then had someone guide us to our site, even though it was after hours. This a nice, clean park just off of I-10, so it is easy to get in and out of. We had a pull-in that faced the canal, so we could look out the windshield and see the pelicans. The park is very clean and just about every day, we saw park personnel out and about doing maintenance. Cable and satellite TV worked well, as did their wi-fi. They do allow you to wash your rig for a $5 fee. We would stay here again. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pensacola RV Park, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We came in for one night and when we checked in, I told them our jacks were broken and asked for a level site. They put us in one of the pull-thrus, #64, and someone guided us to the site. At the site, our guide stopped us when we got to the area of the site that was the most level. The park is close to I-10, with easy on and off access. No problems with the connections. Cable, satellite, and OTA TV worked well. We didn't use the wi-fi. We camped at Pensacola RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Madison, Madison, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We came in. just for one night. The park is right off of I-10, with easy on and off access. The check in process was easy and quick, with easy and a map to get to our site. We were one of their big rig sites, which was a good place for those spending one night. It was easy to get connected and the site seemed pretty level. especially since out leveling jacks weren't working. Satellite and OTA TV worked well. We would stay here again. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Madison in a Motorhome.

Manatee Hammock Campground, Titusville, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We got there after the office was closed and what we thought was the office, is not the office, even though it is in front of the park, with RV parking spaces. After looking for the office, another camper gave me directions. We made it to our site, the roads were a little tight, but manageable. The site was mostly sand and not very level, but we managed. The site was larger then most, with plenty of room on the passenger side, but pretty close to the neighbor on the driver's side. The wi-fi was spotty, but worked well most of the time. Satellite and OTA TV worked well, as did our AT&T phones and hotspots. We camped at Manatee Hammock Campground in a Motorhome.

Endless Summer RV Park, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

W were there for a couple of weeks, so we got a weekly rate. The park is in town, just off of a 4 lane road, so it is easy to get to. The park is a U shape, with the curve only wide enough for one vehicle. They only have back-ins, and the site we had was narrow, and I had to walk on the neighboring site's patio to access the driver's side basement. The service was good and check-in was easy. Each site has its own mail box at the office, so getting our mail was no problem. Satellite and antenna TV worked well, as did our hotspots and AT&T cell phones. We had a little problem getting leveled, as the ground was soft and the leveling jacks and pads sank into the ground. The connections are at the back of the site, with the sewer being behind the coach, and the 50 amp connection was in a separate box, behind the electrical box. We camped at Endless Summer RV Park in a Motorhome.

West Palm Beach / Lion Country Safari KOA, Loxahatchee, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

After checking in, we were guided to our site, with the guide and us driving on the grass, even with multiple signs saying don't drive or park on the grass. At our site, there was a concrete patio, with a picnic table, and no where to park, except on the grass and sand. We had a little problem getting level and had to put pads under the front wheels. The campground is gated, and they require a $20 deposit for a gate key. The roaring lions were nice to listen to, but if you are a light sleeper, it can be bothersome. We camped at West Palm Beach / Lion Country Safari KOA in a Motorhome.

Boyd's Key West Campground, Key West, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $120.00
Overall Rating:

The good thing about this place, is it is close to Key West. As others have said, the roads are tight, the sites are tight and all back-ins. They have a boat ramp, docks, and slips, if needed. Parking the toad was convenient, we could park in front or one the side of the RV. Our site was more grass and sand, than gravel. They have cable TV, which was all right, but some of the channels were fuzzy. Satellite TV worked well, as did our AT&T cell phones and hotspot. Their wifi was good enough to do emails and internet searches, but that was about it. Roosters and planes can be heard, but they didn't bother us. We camped at Boyd's Key West Campground in a Motorhome.

C.B. Smith Park, Pembroke Pines, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, close to the interstate and shopping areas. There is a curvy road getting into the park, but it wasn't too much trouble. As some noted, there are a lot of trees and some did overhang over the road. They were in the process of trimming them, while we were there. This is a city park, with a RV campground, so they have other activities going on, and the park is busy on the weekends, so there is some noise during the day. There is also noise from the airliners flying overhead and planes from the small airport nearby. You will hear sirens, day and night, as well as people hot-rodding on the 4 lane street near the park. If you are looking for a place with no to little noise, this is not it. It is a good place to stay, if you want to check out the Miami area. OTA and satellite TV worked well, as did our AT&T cell phones and hotspots. Their wifi didn't work most of the time and when it did, our computers wouldn't connect to it, but phones and tablets would. We would stay here again. We camped at C.B. Smith Park in a Motorhome.

Charleston KOA, Ladson, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park, close to the highways, with easy access to get to Charleston. Like most KOAs, when we checked in, they guided us to our site, pointed out all the connections, and made sure that we didn't need anything and that there were no problems. The interior roads and sites were all paved. The site had plenty of room, and we didn't feel cramped. Cable, OTA, and satellite TV, AT&T cell phones, and the park's wi-fi all worked well. Our site had some shade, but not enough to block the satellite signal. There are some sites where I doubt if they can get a satellite signal. We would stay here again. We camped at Charleston KOA in a Motorhome.

Charlestown State Park, Charlestown, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, with friendly and helpful people. The roads are paved, as were the sites. Being from out of state, we had to pay $9, for a permit to enter the park. This was a one time fee we paid for the week we were there. All the connections were easy to locate and easy to get connected. We noticed that some sites had patios, but we didn't. Our site had a picnic table and a fire ring. All the sites we saw had picnic tables, while some sites had fire rings and some didn't. Satellite and OTA TV worked well, as did out AT&T phones and hot spots. We did find that when leaving the campground, our GPS wanted us to turn left on the main park road, to get out of the park, but there is no park exit that way. There is only one way in and out of the park. If you plan on being in the park near Halloween, you might call and see when they are doing their Halloween celebration, as they allow trick or treaters, and they close down traffic in and out of the campground, so the trick or treating can be done safely. This is a nice touch, since it is the first park we have seen that allows trick or treating. We would stay here again. We camped at Charlestown State Park in a Motorhome.

St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park, Saint Peters, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The park is close right off of M-370, which is about a mile from I-70. The people are friendly and the park is kept clean. It is a city park, so there may be other activities going on. When we arrived, there was some kind of walk-a-thon going on, so there was more traffic then usual in the park. The interior roads are paved, and our site was gravel and asphalt. AT&T cell service and hot spots worked well. We tried to use the park's wifi, but it wasn't working most of the time, or we couldn't get connected. OTA and satellite TV worked well. We come thru the St. Louis area a couple of times a year, and this is the only park we will stay out. We camped at St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park in a Motorhome.

Worlds of Fun Village, Kansas City, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We haven't stayed here in a couple of years, but not much has changed. The people are friendly and helpful. The park is kept clean and each site has a trash can. The wifi was excellent, and we had no problems, at all, with getting connected and staying connected. OTA and satellite TV were good. They have cable TV, but we didn't use it. There is some road noise from I-435, mainly from speeding motorcycles and semis using their Jake brakes. There is also noise from the amusement park's roller coasters, but the amusement closes at about 10 PM. There is construction on Parvin Rd and I-435, which can make it tricky getting into park. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

Dakotah Meadows RV Park, Prior Lake, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, with friendly and helpful employees. The roads and sites are all paved. This is the only park we have seen where the pull-thrus are cheaper then the back-ins. The reason for this is the pull-thrus are a lot closer together and are parked nose to tail. All the sites we saw had picnic tables, fire rings, trash cans, and a shared bar-b-que grill. Shuttle service to the casino and the Mall of America. OTA TV, satellite TV, AT&T cell phones, and hot-spots worked well. The park's wi-fi was very good, and we didn't need to use our hot spots very often. The laundry room was very clean, with regular washers and a couple of large, heavy duty washers. We would stay here again. We camped at Dakotah Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.
