Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Distant Drums is a newer park across the interstate highway from the Cliff Castle Casino with a great restaurant (Storytellers - we really enjoyed the food and ambiance) The sites are cement with paved streets and they provide an escort to your site. We had a pull-In site which was really easy to get in and out. We took advantage of the exercise room and showers and both were spotless, so was the laundry room. The staff was very accommodating. There was a pool but we never used that. Fairly good selection on television. We were very happy with our stay and have been coming here for 4 years now - always have chosen this RV resort for its cleanliness and easy access on and off of the highway. Our dog also loves to go to the large gated pet area and for walks around the trails in front of our site. Highly recommend! We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Old Town Camp Verde offered restaurants and shopping also a GREAT Ace Hardware...just minutes from the park. Not too far from Cottonwood and Old Town Cottonwood is a fun place to visit while you are here. A great spot to see many attractions and Sedona is really close!

Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park), Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This park should be called "Zen Grey" the way it is so well manicured throughout the park - every time someone departs their space, these guys appear and rake the spots so they look beautiful again. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. Large and level spaces all with large shade trees. You can tell the staff is very concerned about their RVer's. This is also the only RV Park for miles around that we were able to use our MiFi and got good service for our phones and internet. We would take a daily walk around the path to the very pretty creek - less than a mile all the way around and a wonderful nature trail, we saw deer in the evening and some mornings - very relaxing atmosphere. We highly recommend this park as one our favorites...not only in Arizona, but we travel full time. They may have their equal somewhere, but none better. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Western Way RV Resort (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in a 42' Motorhome with a tow. The staff here is over the top wonderful and friendly. We were greeted the moment we arrived and they already knew we were coming and instantly took us to our site! It was easy to back in and we were amazed that the entire spot next to us was for our car...very spacious compared to other parks we have stayed in Tucson. There was a strong sense of community with a lot of activities every day. We used the fitness center and made friends there as well. We highly recommend this park as a great place to stay :-) We camped at Western Way RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You can walk right across the street for places to eat, dentist, hardware store. Also right next to the Dollar Store across the street was a walking/ biking trail. I took the dog for a walk that went for miles and it was beautiful early in the morning!

Musicland Kampground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in a 42' Motor home with a tow vehicle. It was a little tricky getting to our site because of the hills; but we were guided and once we were parked, our site was very spacious with beautiful surroundings. This Campground is very clean, serene and had beautiful trees throughout. We saw the owners and staff working hard on a daily basis to keep the park meticulous. The front office was over the top fun and friendly! When we used the laundry and restroom facilities, we were impressed at how clean they were. The frosting on the cake was the location is the best you could hope for, only about a block away from attractions, shows, restaurants and shops on the Branson Strip. This was great for a daily stroll to get some exercise. We highly recommend this campground for a vacation with as much excitement OR serenity you may want for each day. We camped at Musicland Kampground in a Motorhome.

Treasure Lake RV Resort, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 weeks in a 42 foot motor home with a toad, our spot was very serene and level. Great walking path for us to take the dog for long walks - entertainment at the clubhouse was great. Everyone at registration was delightful. A little difficult to find a shave pot, you need to drive through first and check it out, but I guess the great part about that is that you can actually have the spot of your choice. Many attractions and restaurants within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to friends. We camped at Treasure Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Leaf Verde RV Resort, Buckeye, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

From the time we checked in and throughout our stay, we have been treated like royalty. Over the top pleasant and helpful check-in, Clyde escorted us to our spot and even though not necessary (because the spaces are very large) helped us pull in and helped with hook-ups. The spaces are very level with plenty of room for a car or truck. The owner has an obvious obsession with keeping everything meticulous, clean, guest friendly, pet friendly, and even has a place to wash cars/rv's, propane, and the BEST Dog Park EVER with numerous areas for the dogs to mingle (or not). Our dog went crazy over the grassy areas at the park actually refusing to go potty unless we took her over there. You really feel the attention to details here, additional details rarely seen in our many years of full-time RV'ing. A+++ to the entire staff and we highly recommend you come and check it out when you are in AZ! We camped at Leaf Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Best Fry Grocery Store - newly remodeled just minutes away - fantastic store and most definitely a one stop shop for all of your needs. LOVED the huge selection of organic products, office supply, clothing, toiletries, pet products. There is a Super WalMart across the street from Fry's as well. VERY convenient shopping, gas, restaurants, etc. WOOT! WOOT! Loved our stay :-)

88 Shades RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in a 42 foot motorhome with a toad. The park was very clean and the sites were large. Staff was very accommocating and passionate about their park. We were thrilled that they had great wifi and cable TV which we had not had for about a month during our travels at other parks. The price as reasonable. When walking my dog throughout the park I found a lot of fruit trees by the recreation center and later peaked in there to find recently remodeled bathrooms and nice hot tub! We camped at 88 Shades RV Park in a Motorhome.

Los Angeles / Pomona / Fairplex KOA, Pomona, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a 42' motor home with a tow - we unhooked our Jeep prior to driving to our site. The spaces were pretty cool as you could drive in either side of your street and there were hookups on both sides of the RV. All sites are pull-through and there was a parking space for our Jeep. The staff was busy but very friendly and attentive. The manager was also there helping someone with directions. Our dog loved the beautiful long pet walk. The park was being maintained daily and trees were trimmed--lots of large trees for shade. This is an older park, close to lots of great restaurants and you can just walk over to the Fairplex events. Had a great stay! We camped at Los Angeles / Pomona / Fairplex KOA in a Motorhome.

Really great camper kitchen that got a lot of use from folks in smaller campers or tents.
