Durango KOA, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We got one of the sites with no sewer hookup. It was pretty nice but not wide enough to get our awning out all the way because of trees. It is well staffed with friendly people. Our last night before we moved on we tried the pizza they have in the office. It was delivered to our site. It was decent. We camped at Durango KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cheyenne KOA, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Did two nights here. Spaces were quite flat and the pull through spots had plenty of room to park the tow vehicle next to the fifth wheel. Cable had about a dozen channels. Spots were almost flat, it took a one inch lift on the right side to get level. Two sewer hook ups were handy. Staff was friendly. Sites are 100% gravel, long and wide. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Lyman KOA, Lyman, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This was a stop over to go to Fort Bridger Historic Park. The pull through sites were long and flat. Spacing was close. It is just over a mile off highway 80 along a Wyoming state highway. I mention that for folks who are sensitive to highway noise. There was very little noise here. There was a BBQ that uses briquettes. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Welcome Station RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This was a one night and move on stay. It was pleasant and the owners are very nice. Big pull throughs on grass can handle the big pushers towing a vehicle so they handled our 28 foot fifth wheel easy enough. Sure there is highway noise made worse by the fact the highway in that area may be one of the worst condition stretches in all of Nevada. All that said, we would stay again anytime. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Coleville/Walker KOA (formerly Meadowcliff Lodge & RV Resort), Coleville, California

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

This was a back up spot after our spot in Bridgeport had to close for a few days. We spent five nights in their best, most expensive, spot. Yes, it is right on the highway as most of the RV places along 395 in Mono and Inyo counties are. We knew that going in, so we did not worry too much about it. The big pull through sites can handle the big pusher motor homes. Our spot could handle large trailers and had a nice concrete pad and table with chairs, a BBQ, and a propane campfire pit with chairs. It is not often that we find place that our sewer elbow will actually screw into the threaded pipe but it did here. The owner had taken great care to level the sites. We were in a group of three trailers and none of us had to do anything to level up. There was a lack of shade in out spot but that will change in time since the owners have put in new landscaping. This is about the best RV spot in the county, but it is about a 40 minute drive to the Bridgeport area. With all the road construction it was more like 90 minutes We camped at Coleville/Walker KOA (formerly Meadowcliff Lodge & RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is about as nice an RV park is you will find. Large nearly flat spaces. During our stay there was a large migration of snowbirds heading home from Arizona. Their big diesel pushers towing their cars fit easily in to the big pull through spaces. The internet and cable TV were excellent as well. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Moabi Regional Park, Needles, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

As other reviews have mentioned this county park is managed by the Pirate Cove Resort. The dirt sites are spacious and many are along the river. The biggest RV's had plenty of room around them. Due to the nature of the place and the proximity to the river, on weekends you will hear a constant drone of boat traffic and music from multiple camp sites. But things quieted down around 9 PM and mornings were quiet. It is popular with young families. We camped at Moabi Regional Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tombstone Territories RV Resort, Huachuca City, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We did five nights. This was our second time here. The sites are close to level and spacious. Staff is friendly and efficient. Sites have a small concrete pad. We had to put one set of axles on the pad to have room for our slide outs. We would always stay here while in the area. We camped at Tombstone Territories RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We spent five nights in one of the back-in sites. It was large enough for the 28 foot 5th wheel and our truck. Internet was present but slow. TV stations limited to about 10 on the antenna. Sites are flat. There are no picnic tables. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We did one night passing through. Sites are pull through and pretty level. WE did not use the internet. The bar and restaurant on site was a good way to avoid cooking on our first night on the road. The owner and his employees were very nice. We camped at Desert Springs Camping & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Virginia City RV Park, Virginia City, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Well first off, remember this is the only RV park in Virginia City. SO if you are going, this is it. On arrival we found another trailer in our reserved spot. RV Park people wanted to move us. The sites are not all the same, and some are very difficult to get into and to level on. So we held out for our reserved site. We had to plug into another site while the other people moved out 6 hours later. We camped at Virginia City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Crown Villa RV Resort, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

This was the biggest and most expensive park we have stayed in over 14 states. It was also the nicest. The sites are 23 wide and 72 feet long. The Garden RV Park in Sisters is comparable and has better views of the Sisters Mountain Range but it was full so we came here. Very quiet and nice here. The sites are actually big enough for two RVs. Nice grass between sites. There are discounts for longer stays. We camped at Crown Villa RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Each space has a nice patio that may be lined up outside your door. But, the spaces are narrow and have high posts with utilities to the side. Staying off the patio and still having room for a 12 foot slide one one side was impossible. We had to put wheels on the patio. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
