Cedar Breaks RV (formerly Country Aire RV Park), Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: the folks running this park are nice & accommodating.

Cons: speed bumps (even if driven at 2-3 mph) will jar your fillings out. Trees branches are 8-10 feet above the road. Appeared they have never been trimmed. You need to be very careful driving to your site. Sites are poorly marked, the map they give you is extremely confusing & inaccurate & will lead into dead ends. I estimate that about 75% are permanent residents. Be careful entering from Main Street, as soon as you enter the park there is a hard left about 25 feet into the park, then maybe in another 60 feet there is a hard right to the office. There isn't much good to say about this park. We camped at Cedar Breaks RV (formerly Country Aire RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Indian Campground & RV Park, Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: tall shade trees, long drive thru sites, courteous management, close eating places.
Cons: close eating places (grease smells & traffic) hwy 16 noise, offramp &freeway immediately adjacent (truck noise [jake breaks].
Good place, just get a spot in row c or beyond and stay on west side of park. Trees block satellite service, Direct TV has no local service, only national channels, park has cable with local channels. Buffalo has many restaurants &
other attractions. The pros outweigh the cons by far. We camped at Indian Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lyman KOA, Lyman, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Polite efficient hosts. More business like than friendly. Roads are hard packed gravel. Sites are mostly grass, a few are gravel. They are reasonably level. The park is visually quite pretty. BBQ pits are scattered throughout the park, you may not have one at your site, but there is a BBQ area. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not to much to do in Lyman. Nearby is Fort Bridger with a restored village and fort. The Lincoln highway came through this area. It was neat to see what was considered first class lodging 40 to 50 years ago.

Iron Horse RV Resort, Elko, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Entry sign hard to see, about 5 ft high, brown background in a brown landscape. Check in easy, quick. Sites are head to toe, you will have a close neighbor on driver side. Water pressure very high, you will need a pressure reducer. Many permanent residents. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is based on 28 day stay. Check in was very easy and quick. Nice view of the surrounding mountains. There is a grassy area between sites, you don't feel crowded at all. Roads and parking pads are paved and reasonably level.

Casino and restaurants are about 50 yards from park entrance. The restaurant is not that good. There is Jackin the Box also. I would stay. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Almond Tree RV Park, Chico, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Rate per day based on monthly rate. Roads are paved (asphalt). Most spots are pull-through with concrete pads and have picnic tables. Lots of big trees. If you have satellite TV, make sure you have a unobstructed southerly exposure. Chico downtown is about 3 miles south @ has a nice old town feel. I would stay here again. We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Motorhome.

Coyote Valley RV Resort, Morgan Hill, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Easy check in. I reserved. Park required a $90.00 nonrefundable deposit, applied to the monthly rate. They have a person lead you to your site and assist you backing into your site. It is necessary to have assistance backing into your site as you are basically backing in blind, as the site is on your curb side.

The site are narrow, about 22 feet in width.

Campground, pool, hot tub, everything is extremely clean. Folks that run it are pleasant, easy to talk to.

I stay there every time I'm in the bay area. We camped at Coyote Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Morgan Hill is a cute town. Plenty of places to eat & shop. Gilroy is near by (great garlic fest) Not to far to Camping World. On site (by outside contractors) RV washing and minor repairs.
