Oak Hollow Family Campground, High Point, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very well run and maintained. We are a large Bus and had no issues getting into the park or the sites. We were fortunate to be one of a few coaches due to the end of summer and had a great view of the lake and its activity. It is very quiet with no road noise and the beginning of the Fall colors was just gorgeous. The park has many amenities including a gate that closes at dusk and you must have a code to get in. This park is very well maintained and its obvious there us pride in the park. The staff is wonderful and accommodating of visitors coming into the park. There is a gorgeous golf course just across the street that is very challenging to any golfer. There is a 21 day stay and you must leave for 10 days in order to reserve a spot again. This is a great rule and there are no exceptions or favoritism shown. Overall, this is a must see and a destination place, not just a stopover! We will definitely be back. We camped at Oak Hollow Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Ocean Pines RV Campground (Military FamCamp), Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean restrooms and laundry facilities. Very nice people that run the park which is within a few miles of an upscale neighborhood with lots of shopping and restaurants. This park has a mixture of dirt/concrete parking and most sites are back in. There are no pull-through spots and if you like jet noise, you will get your daily and nightly dosage. This park has events planned for guests often times allowing one to meet their neighbor. This RV park accommodates 45 foot vehicles. We camped at Ocean Pines RV Campground (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

L&D RV Park, Forsyth, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

My husband and I travel in our 45' RV which is also 13'6". Our concern at first was we wouldn't be able to get through with the many large, beautiful trees around the park. There was no issue. This is a lovely park with some of the cleanest restrooms I've seen. The park is well maintained and the gravel sites are fairly level. Joyce is one of the most wonderful camp hosts we have met in the years we have been traveling. It was a great experience staying here for almost two weeks. The country side was picturesque and being 2.4 miles from the interstate guaranteed a very quiet and restful nights sleep. We will definitely be returning. We camped at L&D RV Park in a Motorhome.

Solomons Island Navy Recreation Area (Military FamCamp), Solomons, Maryland

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is a disgrace to the military people. It is run down, overgrown bushes, trees and weeds on every site. The sites are uneven and many of the "residents" living here full time keep this facility looking like a run down mobile home park with multiple vehicles parked in their front yard. No one mows the sites so grass is growing underneath these dilapidated RVs that sit on long term sites. It's such a disgrace. The folks that run the facility have no clue what size vehicle fits in a site. We are 45 feet and we had to drive around looking for a place to park. They knew when we made reservations we were a large coach yet they placed us in a spot we couldn't get into because of overhanging, overgrown trees. There are three guards in a small shack guarding the facility! What waste and abuse of tax dollars. We had to work in the area and this facility was a couple miles from our job site without going over the bridge and driving another 14 miles to another park. What a disgrace. We camped at Solomons Island Navy Recreation Area (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.
