Kettle River RV Park, Rock Creek, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

I didn't give higher than 7 as I feel this is an honest rating. Easy to get into, gravel roads and sites. They need to do a better job of trimming back tree branches. Seemed like the only 2 renters (me and another) who came in today had branches brushing up against our rig. The other guy moved over somewhat that his neighbor had to take in his awning so his slide would open all the way!! 50AMP, water pressure was good, no wifi to speak of in our spot! We camped at Kettle River RV Park in a Motorhome.

A good overnight stop. There is a 9 hole golf course across the street which our neighbor said was a good course. Nothing else close to this spot.

Cranbrook / St. Eugene KOA, Cranbrook, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Definately the best KOA we have stayed in North America! Wide gravel roads easy to get in. 50AMP, water pressure great. Wifi not great, but 90% of parks in NA dont have great wifi! We took a pull through with our 40' motorhome and full size pickup, but their backins have actually more room! Easy to get to off the highway, they have a great golf course on site, hotel with good restaurant. Would stay here again. We camped at Cranbrook / St. Eugene KOA in a Motorhome.

Elbas Farms RV Park, Lethbridge, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A nice overnight or over weekend stay spot in the Coaldale/Lethbridge area. do NOT follow your GPS or google maps; simply turn South on Range Road 211 off #3. The owners are Christians, they are honest as the day is long. The sites are exactly as advertised. Its a gravel area out behind the houses and barns with lots of room to maneuver or unhook. Water pressure was good, wifi spotty as with most parks in NA. Take a site on the South side, if you're on the North side the sewer hookup is uphill, you'll need to hand lift your hose a few time to get everything out! The 30amp seems to have a little voltage drop but was able to run 1 ac unit. Would definately stay here again. We camped at Elbas Farms RV Park in a Motorhome.

Okotoks Lions Sheep River Campground, Okotoks, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

I had booked one night about 5 days prior to coming, i wanted a pull through and was confirmed verbally by the lady "it was your lucky day" and told I got the last pull through. Got there and found i had the shortest backin, which meant there was no room for my pickup, i had to park outside of the park in the local watering hole parking lot! I had requested an email confirmation of my site, was told "we dont do that", now i know why! Not happy! Then they recommended the water was higher pressure than normal and to put a water pressure valve on. The pressure was really bad! I would not stay here again. It's also a dust bowl, if you drive over 5KPH? dust all over. We camped at Okotoks Lions Sheep River Campground in a Motorhome.

St. Albert Kinsmen RV Park, St. Albert, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Third time i've stayed here over 5 years, have not been disappointed. With as much rain as BC and Alberta has had over the last couple months, a good park can be rated well if it has decent drainage, and as we pulled in today, it passed the test. Backing in with my 41 foot motorhome was no problem. I commented on this before, only park i've sen in many that has a 30amp adapter attached to the power pole for those with only 30amp. Water pressure very good. A good place to explore the surrounding area and Edmonton from. We camped at St. Albert Kinsmen RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hinton / Jasper KOA, Hinton, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I've been in many parks where its rained, a good park will have designed it to drain quickly. This one isnt! Maybe wouldnt be a problem if the roads are decently wide, but they're not!!, they are very narrow, tough for a big rig under dry conditions let alone wet. There were tire tracks on many sites, signs of poor drainage. I didnt sleep well worrying about pulling out in the morning and getting mired, thankfully not. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Motorhome.

Eagle Island Resort, Bridge Lake, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This place is nicely located on highway 24 between 100 mile house and Clearwater. The managers are great people, very welcoming and keep a tight ship, e.g. making sure all pets are kept on leashes, keeping the (older) bathrooms in clean condition. Spots are tight in the middle when you come in, there is really only ONE spot for a 38-40 foot motorhome or 5th wheel, site number 26. The rest of the sites are tighter and branches get involved. The main negative is no sewer connections. They have a "honey" wagon but it is not the real thing (which should be a mobile tank that gets pulled around by a tractor. It's a little flat plastic contraption that you have to pull with your truck, this is NOT something for an older couple to start fooling around with! They do have a dump station on the way out so if you can "manage" your showers and "dumps" you should be ok :). The lake is beautiful, very pretty area of BC, Highway 24 very easy to drive with my 40 foot MH towing full size pickup. Also, my truck would not fit on my site, i had to park on a separate spot. We camped at Eagle Island Resort in a Motorhome.

MamaYeh RV Park, Prince George, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very easy access off Hwy 97, about 200 metres on a good gravel road. The owner is probably the friendliest guy you'll ever meet, he'll shake your hand about 5 times and thank you profusely for stopping by! Roads are wide enough for big rigs, get site 1-3 if possible as they are the easiest to get in. Very long sites, big enough for a 45 foot motorhome pulling a 25 foot trailer (if you're that long). Pull throughs have 2 sewer locations, don't see this very often in North American parks. Lots of privacy between sites. Now the reason I only gave an 8 out of 10; there are no public bathrooms, just some porta potties. The other negative is the water; has lots or iron. It will stain your sinks and toilets. My advice? load up good water in your tank before you come in. Otherwise very good value and good for the truly big rigs. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

If you're just looking for a place to park, and that's it? Even then I wouldn't come back. Basically a parking lot with bad power, don't get spot 10, bad voltage drop. Wouldn't come here again. I had to ask the guy across the way to move his vehicle otherwise I couldn't get out! (I have a 40 foot MH), we barely fit. We camped at Airport Inn Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

St. Albert Kinsmen RV Park, St. Albert, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park, paved roads and gravel sites although if you have a heavy motorhome make sure you ask, so you don't get a "soft" site!! This park is on an old dump site and they have had problems of sinking gravel, even my 18,000 pound 5th wheel made tracks in the gravel. Staff very friendly. Water pressure good, wifi one of the best we've had in over a 100 parks! One thing I've never seen, at the power hookup they have a 50 amp plug but they have strapped to the pole a 30 amp cord converter, what a great thought!! Definitely would recommend and would stay here again. We camped at St. Albert Kinsmen RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lots of good walking trails along the Sturgeon River. On Saturdays, through most of the months of summer, there is a huge farmers market, make sure you take this in, well worth it!.

Gas City Campground, Medicine Hat, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicer parks in Canada, our pad had lots of room, nice gravel with patio area. WE had site 44 with 50 amp, very easy to get my 41` 5th wheel in and out. It was good to see our 50amp had the breaker right there; so many parks in Canada have remote breakers. If your 30 amp breaker blows? and you cant get an emergency number or contact someone until 9am the next morning? and your 120volt fridge stops working for 9 hours??? anyways nice to see the breaker at the rv spot! Lots of room for my 3 slides. Wifi was one of the best I`ve seen in over 100 parks I`ve been in. Highly recommend this for anyone coming through. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Kings Acres Campground, Regina, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

If you need a stopover for one night? This park is right beside #1 so convenient in and out. BUT its a dust bowl, many worker units, of about 30 units in the park, there were about 3-4 over nighters, rest were workers or "full timers". Very dumpy buildings/check in office. When we got to our site the 30 amp kicked with only one ac unit on, unacceptable! When I looked at my 30 amp adapter it had heated up on one of the contacts. They moved me to another site with 50 amp and worked ok. If we had to stay again as a stop over only, I would. We camped at Kings Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

If you are travelling through and need a place for one night? its handy since its right on the #1. Dusty dirt roads, grass long in many places, water pressure not great, roads are tight but we still managed with our 41` 5th wheel. At the fun park next door it seems they have music and dancing on the weekends in the summer; keep your ac on full blast otherwise the music will keep you awake. One of the dumpier parks.
