Peshtigo River Campground, Crivitz, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

As usual our stay was wonderful. We had 7 families (7 sites) in our group for this trip, they really enjoy tubing and Peshtigo River Campground does a great job! The bathrooms and showers are always clean. The sites are big, we never have a hard time parking our camper and getting it level. The shade is plentiful. We had access to a covered pavilion for our group meal which worked out perfect. We were pleasantly surprised to see the updating going on at the campground. John and Gloria and team take great pride in the campground and it shows. This year was our 12th year of camping at Peshtigo River Campground and counting. One more plus of the campground is that it is close to town. If (and when) we forget something, if it is not available at the campground store it is just a quick run into town. And there are some really cute stores in town to stop at! :) We camped at Peshtigo River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Tubing-the campground runs a bus that brings you to a location in town to get on the river and you end back at the campground. :) Plenty of shops in town. Of course the candy store in Crivitz is awesome! :)

Cedar Valley Campgrounds, Kewaunee, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is not easy to maneuver through. The roads are extremely narrow and have a LOT of trees close to the roads and hanging over the road. We unfortunately pulled off a back corner of our travel trailer brushing against a tree as we were trying to swing it wide to turn down the street to our sites. The turns are very tight. The person (owner?) in the office was extremely rude to a few people in our group. We had 6 sites total and had to cancel 1 site a few days prior due to illness and this person moved one of the other families into the site that was cancelled, but that family was not able to get their travel trailer on that site so had to go back to their original site and informed the office of this change--the person said we could use the site that was cancelled if needed since it is between others in our group and when we did the next morning the person in the office (owner?) was rude about it and said no one ever said we could use it. The campground was not full. We camped at Cedar Valley Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Request to be in the open area of the campground as these sites are much easier to get in and out of. If you have a pop up or tent you should not have any problems getting to any of the other sites.
