Indian Cove Resort, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here through Coast to Coast. Because we were family camping, we were put in the 'Overflow' section at the back of the campground. We had grassy sites that needed to be mowed. After rain for a day and a half, we had water standing in our sites. Sites were not marked very well because the lines painted on the edges of the road were quite faded. Our site was short and the only way we could park was crossways the entire site, therefore we were unable to have visitors park at the campsite. The campground is close to the Naval base. Jets were flying over constantly which was not that bad. There were 2 nice pool areas. The Laundromat was very clean and all machines were operational. If you visit, you can give them your C2C card to get a pass to get in & out. Otherwise you will have to pick up the phone at the gate & have someone open the gate for you. We were not given this information at check in Fire rings were not provided. WiFi did not work the entire week. We camped at Indian Cove Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Very close to Sandbridge Beach, but you will need to drive. It is not close enough to bike ride to the beach as stated. The road is very busy and there is no bike lane.

Shenandoah Crossing Resort, Gordonsville, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here in June for the past 3 years thru C2C and we always enjoy coming back. The staff is always friendly. We family camp and they have been very accommodating to put us in adjacent sites. We had an issue one time with the electric hookup and someone from the maintenance staff came to the site right away to correct the problem. There is horseback riding for an additional fee at the campground. There are hiking trails, mini golf, pool area, game room including ping pong and pool tables. Laundromats are available throughout the camping area. WiFi works if you are in the right campsite. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of things to do not only at the campground but in the area such as hiking, visiting Monticello and alot of other historical sites. Grocery stores within a reasonable distance.
