Petoskey RV Resort, Bay Harbor, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

This is a class A resort only with wide lots, patios, ponds and fountains. It's a gated park with pass codes. It is top notch in every way- clubhouse, swiping pool, workout room, etc. We camped at Petoskey RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Petoskey has many choices of activities from a Farmers Market to beaches to watching sunsets. You do have to leave the RV park to get to everything unless you ride a bicycle. The park is near a beautiful paved bike trail . We enjoyed Castle Farms tour in Charlevoix. We drove the Tunnel of Trees along Lake Michigan north for 20 miles. A sunset cruise out of Charlevoix was wonderful.

Newberry Campground (formerly Newberry KOA), Newberry, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 6 nights in July, 2015. Some mosquitoes but not bad. Roads are sandy as are sites and a little difficult for a 42' RV to negotiate, especially to get to dump station. Sites close together and often back to back. Pets welcome. Need reservations several weeks ahead in summer- could not get a FHU site at all. We camped at Newberry Campground (formerly Newberry KOA) in a Motorhome.

Taquanomen Falls State Park, Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum, one hour to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore -- highly recommend the boat tour.
