Yellowstone Campground, Sanford, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park is mainly seasonal, with lots of tent sites and a few transient spaces for RV's 35' and under. Our site provided plenty of room. It is dog friendly with plenty of room for exercising. The facility is older, and in need of upgrades to the showers and other areas. The owners are on site and helpful and the seasonal folks are friendly. We used this as our base while we explored the Maine coast. We camped at Yellowstone Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is close to Wells Beach and Kennebunk, as well as a number of beautiful lighthouses. While your here, try the Maine Diner in Wells, a great DDD establishment.

Dorset RV Park, Dorset, Vermont

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This park has lots of trees, fire pits, and a small store. The interior roads are a little rough and narrow, so larger units might have some difficulty getting set-up. The cable tv connection provided 'snowy' images and even though we were camped near the office, Wi-Fi service was not good and we had to walk around to find cell phone coverage. We would stay here again, based on location and proximity to many wonderful places. We camped at Dorset RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Boot Hill RV Resort, Alamogordo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We were looking for an overnight stop when we found this one in an internet search. We arrived after hours and the check in area and process was good. The roads are wide and gravel. There aren't many trees (it IS the desert) but there is grass out front and a nice enclosed dog area. There are some nearby attractions, but we weren't able to check them out. We'd stop again. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

El Reno Lake Campground, El Reno, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We were concerned about finding a space on a weekend evening, but were the only vehicle in the section we stayed in. It is a cute park on a small lake. Our GPS took us through town and past a nearby prison. The next exit (eastbound) allows more direct access. The only problem we encountered was the electrical 30 amp service was marginal and we never found the dump station. We would stay here again. We camped at El Reno Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Dumplin Valley RV, Kodak, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We found this delightful park online and stopped for a quick overnight respite. The park had Lots of sites available. We tried a few sites to find a pretty level one, but made some adjustments and were quickly settled. Our dogs enjoyed exercising in the grass. It is close to I-40 but there isn't the expected highway noise. We would definitely stay here again.! We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Fifth Wheel.
