Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Well folks, easy check in, did not have to unhook toad, plenty of room. Office staff very friendly explained it all so I could understand. Large park with pool and spa; it was real soothing after 7 hours on the road. Bathrooms very clean as well as laundry. Right off the 5 freeway or about 9 miles east off the 99 outside of Lodi. Truck stop across street, some fast food restaurants as well as a Denny,s. Always stop here on our travels between So Cal and Brookings Oregon. We camped at Flag City RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Portside RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Hi, here is the good and the not so good. First off very clean restrooms and laundry areas. $2.00 wash $1.50 dry. sites are very clean, all asphalt and concrete slabs. This park advertises 90 plus sites? Great access to port area you can walk to it. Now for the not so great. You have to pay for showers usually, usually 50 cents will do, but you cannot shut off the water so a little water waste issue. Dryers some times do not fully dry clothes so you can only add full amount and restart the machines. this park really only has 32 spots several large pull-thru's. there is absolutely nothing for kids to do, no swings or play area! Kids are not allowed to ride bicycles in the roads or skateboards, there is an area behind the mens room that has a 25 foot gully with water runoff all the time, BEWARE no fence around it, so watch the little one's , there are many spots in the park with no satellite services, they don't tell you this at check in. cable works great, but several sites are spotty. Lots of traffic as park has lots of full timers in park models, electricity for monthly stays is .12 cents per klw. current rate months for regular site summer is $550 +elec, ther some sites that are more ask which ones? There is no DOG park just a couple of gravel areas for the pet no bag dispenser so bring your own. don't get a site by the restrooms as door's slam at all hours of the night and day. very sterile setting, no shade trees at all. We camped at Portside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hemet RV Resort (formerly Mountain Valley RV Resort), Hemet, California

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Here's the pros, electric works 50amp and 30 amp. Lots of sewer smells from vents and long term residents with old rigs scattered around the park! We stayed here 2 winters and probably won't be back! The pool decking is dilapidated and covering falling off! Men's bathroom has Black Mold all through the cabinets. When you take a shower, water fills up and you have to stand in dirty as drains are very slow. Asphalt in entire park is crumbling and you will constantly track it into your rig. Several RVers have had their bicycles stolen over a 4 month period, lots of homeless people outside on streets of Hemet. The spa pool is old and not very clean, overall not a great RV experience. Probably will never return as no improvements at all over a years time as we were told there would be. We camped at Hemet RV Resort (formerly Mountain Valley RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Portside RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Well rate reflects monthly at $505 plus elect, best way to go, beats weekly rates. all cement with asphalt and river rock separating each site. However some sites are placed between park models. Several pull thru sites, very clean restrooms and laundry $2 to wash $2.50 to dry. Reason not a 10, no pool or Jacuzzi, there is a rec room you can reserve for parties, biggest draw here is it is right across from brookings harbor and you can walk to best pizza (ZOLAS) wood fired and best clam chowder. there is a small swap meet on the warf on Saturdays, enjoyed our 3 month stay, folks very friendly. We camped at Portside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Village Camper Inn RV Park, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Ok, first review for me, the monthly rate is $343 plus electric. This RV park has a lot of full timers in clean rigs and the area around them is clean. We had a 34 ft 5th wheel, no problem in a back-in. Plenty of room to park tow vehicle in front of rig. Try to find a site not backed into trees (for example, #231); it is very cold after sun passes overhead. Slight walk to trash bins. No club house, and no central gathering place. They do have horseshoes and lots of places to walk. Dog friendly and firepits allowed. Staff very friendly, easy check in. If coming from the south get off at Parkway Dr just north of town. Entrance comes up quickly so go slow. All in all, a great stay. Lots to see and do. Would of given it a higher rating except for tent sites mixed in right next to rigs, and in the sites in the 200s you will hear roosters all day long. We camped at Village Camper Inn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
