Wood's Tall Timber Lake Resort, New Philadelphia, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I liked this place. It is very clean and very beautiful here. There is lots to do here. They even had an awesome live band one night! Our campsite was a very large, level concrete pad, with plenty of nice grass for our dog. The campsites are up pretty steep hills which makes how your camper sits, pretty nice. Someone is in front below you, and in back above you. Makes for plenty of space and privacy.

NEGATIVES You can have a golf cart or rent one, which is fine, but idiot parents allow their children to drive these things all over, during all hours of the night, with headlights blaring at you while you are trying to sit outside and enjoy. These kids keep continuously going around in circles so it is constant! Management really needs to address this problem.

Other drawback is that the morning we were to leave, while cleaning out our black tank, we lost all water pressure for over an hour. We gave up and left. Seems to be a common problem here. We camped at Wood's Tall Timber Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

I loved this place! It is very convenient to Mammoth Cave, just a few miles actually. Lots of restaurants right around the corner. Great location. It is more for adults, as there is really nothing for children to do there. It is a perfect place for us adults to relax. The shower houses are easily the cleanest and nicest ones I have ever seen! The grounds are beautiful, lots of gorgeous landscaping. Laundry room is exceptionally clean. Very nice fitness room. Staff is incredibly friendly, they even lead you to your site so you know exactly where you are going. There is a train that goes by every so often, but that didn't bother us in the least. All sites are pull-thru, pretty close to being completely level, and even though the neighbors were nearby, I still felt like i had a lot of privacy. I will definitely be staying there again! We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you would like a fire ring, you must request when reserving. Not all sites have fire rings. Every site has a picnic table. BIG TIP: Stay away from Mammoth Cave on Sundays. So Busy!!!!!!

Petersburg COE, Appling, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Love, Love, Love this place!! We are new to camping in a travel trailer, and this was the first time we had gone out in our unit. We have a 28 foot toy hauler, and we had absolutely no problems getting into the site. We opted for a pull-thru and were right next to the lake, as most sites are waterfront. The sites are private and spacious. We chose this campground because of the accessibility to the mountain bike trails (trailhead is located right outside of the main gate). Bath houses are clean with lots of hot water. Beautiful place, great mountain biking, couldn't ask for anything more from them. Cannot wait to go back!!!!! We camped at Petersburg COE in a Travel Trailer.
