Highline Trail RV Park, Boulder, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, Beautiful people. Large, gravel sites with watered grass in between. All utilities work fine, including wifi (we do have an external antenna) Owners come around regularly to make sure everything is working. I wish all parks could be like this one. We camped at Highline Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverview RV Park & Campground, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

One of the worst campgrounds we have ever encountered. See uploaded pictures. Wifi didn't work (response-it goes in and out) so we had to use our hotspot, cable quality was poor/fuzzy, constant daytime road noise from highway 34, garbage cans stunk (saw endloader packing the garbage), campsites and pet area were mostly sand/mud. Some sites were flooded when it rained. "Trail" was narrow weed path that kids used for biking. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulpha Gorge Campground (NPS Campground), Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty campground with FULL hookups, sites of various sizes, pretty stream. We arrived around noon and were able to find a large site in the middle. Our site was not level front to back, but most were. No road noise inside our camper. Sites were filled almost as soon as someone pulls out, so have a plan B in place. Pick a site, then use the kiosk at the registration building to pay. Concrete picnic table, grill and fire ring. We camped at Gulpha Gorge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

T. O. Fuller State Park, Memphis, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Which dog farted? Laughed as folks pulled in and looked around to see where the dog fart smell was coming from! An OK state park once we got there. Lots of research, Truckers GPS and we still saw NO TRUCKS signs and were routed through a neighborhood with narrow roads. CALL the park for directions! Nice Park Ranger gave us good directions out the back way so we had an easy departure (BUMPY railroad tracks though. We camped at T. O. Fuller State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Crossville / I-40 KOA , Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Quick one night stopover. Downpour when we arrived so we were disappointed to find that our site REQUIRED 2" of boards under tires to be level. Checked out other sites in the morning and it looks like most were not level side to side. Sites were long, concrete, with pads and level front to back. Park appears new, didn't get to checkout other facilities. We camped at Crossville / I-40 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Agree with other comments. WIfi was fast and strong, but the park was empty. Antenna connection was MUCH better than cable. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wisconsin State Fair RV Park, West Allis, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We are just wrapping up 3 weeks at Wisconsin State Fair Park. It is the only RV park in the Milwaukee area. Basically, it is a large parking lot. There are 70 full service sites and some electric only sites. Each site is separated by an 8 foot shared area with a picnic table. Staff was professional and check-in was prompt. We paid the monthly rate. Wi-Fi was excellent. The park is patrolled by the State Park Fair Police and there were no issues during our stay.

There is a dog walk area that is fenced on 3 sides. The park is kept very clean, the washers and dryers work fine. We did not use the showers that are available. For the most part, it is quiet for an in-city park, although the expressway is near, so there is traffic noise. We had an interior site - the sites bordering he outside have much more traffic noise. There are less than 10 semi-permanent RVs. Mostly Class-A's, Toyhaulers and Fifth-Wheels, as there are many pull-through sites. Propane is available on-site.

This is a great location to explore Milwaukee - there are several County-run biergartens in the parks. Summerfest shuttles were available from the park for $6.50 round trip.

There are also several great dog exercise parks in Milwaukee - our favorite was Currie Dog Park - about 10 acres of rolling meadow and also a smaller dog area. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Pay attention to what is happening at "Miracle Mile" racetrack, which borders the state fair park. Pet Warning; We were here for July 4th and there was a MAJOR fireworks display that was entertaining to some, but Extremely Loud even inside the RV. Indyfest, which brings Drag racing, is this weekend, so again, we are expecting loud music and noise from the races.

An Air Raid Siren test is conducted the 2nd wednesday of the month at noon. It is near and LOUD.
