Sleepy Bear RV Park, Swan Valley, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We were looking for a RV park/campground while en route to Jackson, Wyoming and spotted Sleepy Bear RV Park. It is a small park with RV and tent sites. I don't know the number of RV sites but I am guessing 12-15. Each site is clean with its own trash can. The sites are close to each other but roomy enough not to be claustrophobic. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was quite reasonable. Nice scenery of wooded hills. We'd stay here again. We camped at Sleepy Bear RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fillmore KOA, Fillmore, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night while traveling from Wyoming to Lake Havasu. Friendly and courteous staff. The site (back-in) was more spacious than what I saw of the pull-throughs. Nicely shaded with grass. We made use of the hot tub and pool. We'd stay here again. We camped at Fillmore KOA in a Motorhome.

Jackson Hole / Snake River KOA, Jackson, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed three nights in a motorhome. The park is primarily cabins with a few RV sites and tent sites. We found the staff helpful and friendly. Our site was a little on the tight side (we've been to worse). If one uses the laundry, keep an eye on your clothes. Rude people with no laundry etiquette will take your clothes out of the washer even though getting back there within a few minutes after the cycle is over. Nice setting along the Snake River. We camped at Jackson Hole / Snake River KOA in a Motorhome.

Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

While exploring the area in and around Holbrook, Arizona, I spent one night at the Holbrook/Petrified Forest KOA. I found the campground to be well-kept with a friendly and helpful staff. They have pancake breakfast and Cowboy dinners available for guests. I partook in the dinner and enjoyed it. It was far enough from I-40 and other roads so that there were no road noise. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Sky City RV Park, Acoma, New Mexico

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

During a blizzard that hit New Mexico, I decided to pull into the Sky City RV Park to spend the night. It was 11:00. The office was dark and closed. There was no directions on where to register. I figured I'd pull into a site and pay the next morning. The next morning, I left the RV park and went to their travel center and bought gasoline. It was still blizzard conditions out. The gasoline was only $1.99/gallon. I asked an attendant on where to pay for the RV park site. They told me the front desk at the hotel across the street. I went there and the front desk clerk said she closed out yesterday's registrations and couldn't add my stay. I suggested that she log me in as an after midnight arrival so she could put it down as a next day's registration so I could pay. For some reason she couldn't do that. She said that she won't charge me for the stay. The park itself, from what I could see of it, as it was dark and covered in snow, was nice and organized with relatively spacious sites. We camped at Sky City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Red Rock Park, Churchrock, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed for the Red Rock Balloon Rally. Unfortunately, snows and winds prevented the balloons from ascending. Even though I knew ahead of time that the balloon ascent was questionable, I decided to try out the RV park. I enjoyed my stay there. The site was spacious and the roads easy to navigate. I had water and electric at my site, but no sewer. The surrounding red rocks made for a nice scenic campground. We camped at Red Rock Park in a Motorhome.

Desert Eagle RV Park (Military FamCamp), Nellis AFB, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

After a medical emergency in northern Nevada, we headed south to get to a friend's home in Arizona. Along the way, we stayed one night at the Desert Eagle RV Park. My friend is retired military, so we used his pass to stay at the park. It is nicely landscaped and with clean restrooms and showers. The picnic tables are metal and looked new. The sites are level and concrete. We camped at Desert Eagle RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Ely KOA, Ely, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night at the Ely KOA. I was surprised how nice the Ely, Nevada area is and the KOA is an attractive campground. It was pretty much filled to capacity and we were given a level site. Sites are separated by wooden fencing. There's groceries and a gift shop in the office building. We would stay here again. We camped at Ely KOA in a Motorhome.

Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

After leaving another RV park due to a rude manager, I called the KOA and found there were plenty of spaces available. We arrived and found friendly and helpful staffers. Registration was a breeze and we were given a level site near a restroom and dog walk. The park was within easy walking distance to the Sam's Town Hotel and Casino. We would stay here again. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town in a Motorhome.

Riviera RV Park, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here last August and I gave it a good review. However, we tried staying here last night but the uncooperative and rude manager forced us to leave without staying. The manager said they have a new owner. They close their office at 4:00 PM. They don't accept checks. Wants exact change cash only. They hiked their nightly price from last year's $22.00 to over $30.00 (even with Good Sam discount). We ended up at a nicer park for a lot less money. We camped at Riviera RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trailer Village RV Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the UFO Festival and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. They have some RV supplies and UFO souvenirs in their office/store. We had a nice and spacious back-in site with shade. They have a laundry room near the rear of the park. There is no swimming pool. They escort guests to their sites and help with positioning your RV. The site we had was gravel with a grassy "yard". But these sites don't have picnic tables. Sites with concrete pads (in the center of the park) do have picnic tables. We would stay here again. We camped at Trailer Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Happy Trails RV Park LLC, Moriarty, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We were on our way to Roswell, New Mexico for the UFO Festival and decided to stop half way. Happy Trails RV Campground was dead center between home and Roswell. It is an older RV park that is undergoing refurbishment. The spaces are close to each other. So close, my awning covered the water and sewer outlets for the neighboring campsite. There are picnic tables, but not at each campsite. They are arranged in a circle in the center of the campground. I've never seen such a configuration before. Since the price was very reasonable, I'm not complaining. It is within easy walking distance to restaurants. The owners are very friendly and helpful (they escort guests to their campsite). The campground is fine for an overnight stay. Despite the closeness of the sites, I would stay here again. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park LLC in a Motorhome.

Route 66 RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I had some business in Albuquerque and decided to make it an overnighter at the Route 66 RV resort. This is a fairly new park and all of the hook-up pedestals are in great shape and working order. The landscaping is immaculate as is the interior roads and campsites. The sites are spacious with a concrete pad. The only drawback is there are no trees for shade (but isn't that why awnings were invented?) The pool was closed for the season but it is nicely designed and inviting with the reddish rocks. They have a free 24-hour shuttle to the casino. I plan on coming back many times. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.
