Mountain View RV Park & Campground, Sundance, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Once again we had a FHU, pull through site on the second level. My 7/18 review gives more specific info on the park. As usual, we didn't bother with cable TV since our site was satellite TV friendly. The WiFi was good enough for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathroom and laundry facilities are clean but the bathrooms may not be adequate if there are many tent customers in the park. The pool is fine as long as there aren't too many users. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Buffalo KOA , Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

There are a variety of site types and rates. Once again, we were able to get one of their relatively cheap 30 amp, FHU, back in sites that was satellite friendly. The site was fairly level and roomy enough for our 32' Class C. Typical of most KOAs, this park has a pool and other family friendly amenities. The are 2 bathhouses which makes this the rare RV park with adequate bathroom facilities when the park is full. The WiFi was good enough for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. We camped at Buffalo KOA in a Motorhome.

Chris' Camp, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We have been here several times over the years and have always been pleased with this park. We were able to get a fairly level FHU back in site close to one of the pools and bathhouses. Since the site was satellite TV friendly, we did not need cable TV. This park is very kid friendly with 2 pools and other recreational facilities, so so there is plenty to keep you busy in the park. The bath and laundry facilities were clean. The WiFi was good enough for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The staff was friendly and helpful. Shopping and eateries are just minutes away. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Motorhome.

Heartland RV Park & Cabins, Hermosa, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Being able to use Passport America for multiple days in season makes this a good base for the east side of the Black Hills. As usual, we had a fairly level, standard, gravel, pull through, FHU site. There is minimal cable TV but most sites appear to be satellite friendly. The park was crowded but we were able to get on the Wi-Fi long enough to check our e-mail and do some web surfing. The small pool, the bathrooms, and the laundry tend to be overburdened in season with a fairly full park. The staff were friendly and helpful. I did not see any recycling. We camped at Heartland RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have probably stayed here over a dozen times over the decades and keep returning because we know what to expect and have never had any problems. As others have noted, there are a variety of site types. I think all are pull through but there are choices as to hookups, amperage, and cable TV. We had a FHU site but didn't bother with cable TV since our site was satellite friendly. The Wi-Fi was fine for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. For a park with non-sewer and tent sites, the bathrooms can be inadequate. The laundry is fine, but the pool is a bit small. The staff was friendly and helpful. Typical for the area, I still don't see any recycling. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Belvidere East / Exit 170 KOA, Midland, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

While this park continues to be one of the better parks along I-90 in SD, it has become a bit expensive. As usual, we had a FHU, pull through site that had cable TV. It was also satellite friendly. There are also W&E sites, tent sites, and cabins. The Wi-Fi was adequate for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. There are the typical (pool, playground, etc.) KOA recreational amenities and 2 bathroom facilities. With one by the office and another by the pool, they were adequate for a park with non-sewer sites. We camped at Belvidere East / Exit 170 KOA in a Motorhome.

Hill's RV Park & Campground, Plankinton, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The Passport America discount makes this small park a good one night stop on I-90. As usual, we had a FHU site that was satellite friendly. There there is no cable TV, so you may want to call ahead because not all sites are FHU and/or satellite friendly. The WiFi worked fine for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathrooms and laundry were clean. The only recreational amenity is a pool. I saw no recycling. We camped at Hill's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Jackpot Junction Casino RV Park, Morton, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

When we were here 2 years ago the cost was only $25. We again had a FHU, pull through site with a cement pad. 24 of the 30 sites are pull through. There is a table and fire pit and about 10' of grass between sites. There are no trees, so the sites are satellite friendly. Because of that, we didn't try the cable TV since we had trouble with it in the past. The WiFi was good enough for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. I still consider check in at the casino and "trailer" bathrooms to be negatives. Also, I don't see any recycling. We camped at Jackpot Junction Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stoney Creek RV Resort, Osseo, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I tried submitting this last night but It wouldn't take because of some glitch (a message with 3 or 4 capital letters) with in this site. We haven't been here in about 10 years. As others have noted, because of all the recreational amenities, this is a great park for families. We were happy to get a pull through, FHU site for one weeknight just before the 4th of July. Since our site was satellite friendly, we didn't bother with the cable TV. The WiFi was adequate for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The laundry facility and bathrooms were clean but we didn't use the showers because you had to pay for them. The staff was helpful and there is recycling. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Madison KOA, De Forest, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

As usual, we had a decent size, level, granite, pull through FHU site. This describes most sites but there are also back in sites, tent sites, cabins, and rental trailers. There is no cable TV but most sites are satellite friendly. The WiFi was good enough to do this review. There is a pool and play area. The laundry and bathrooms are clean but may be inadequate if the park is full. There is a recycling bin in the area in front of the office. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Prairie Pines Campground, Rantoul, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

As usual, we were able to get a pull through, FHU, level, gravel site that was satellite friendly. Others have described the unusual "pull through" situation. There is no cable TV. Some sites may not be satellite friendly, so request a friendly site you want to use your satellite TV. The Wi-Fi was fine for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The laundry and bathrooms were clean. There is no pool and I saw no recycling. We camped at Prairie Pines Campground in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay last year enough to stay again this year. We had a level, FHU, pull through site with cable TV. The Wi-Fi was adequate for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathrooms and laundry were clean. We camped at Benton KOA in a Motorhome.

Boomland RV Park & Campground, Charleston, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

As almost every reviewer has noted, how can you beat a decent, FHU site for just $12? Our site was reasonably level and satellite friendly. There were only a handful of other RVs (extended stay?) in the park the night we were there. From previous experience, we didn't even bother checking the bathroom facilities. We camped at Boomland RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Sam's Town RV Park , Tunica, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Like many casinos that have eliminated having staff at the RV park, this park is not as nice as it was a few years ago. Besides having to check in with the hotel, the poor bathroom and laundry facilities are not cleaned often enough. The sites (mostly large, pull through, FHU sites on level cement pads) are the best aspect of the park. All sites appear to be satellite friendly, so we didn't try the cable TV. There is no Wi-Fi in the RV park and, typical of the area, there is no recycling. The hotel does have a nice outdoor pool we have used on previous stays here. We camped at Sam's Town RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hollywood Casino Hotel & RV Park, Robinsonville, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park continues to be a disappointment compared to what it was just a few years ago. The fact that there have only been about 10 RVs in this park the last few times we have stopped here indicates others feel the same way. From the closed park office forcing you to check in at the hotel to the poorly maintained bathrooms, laundry, and garbage containers, this park has only the reasonable cost going for it. The sites are mostly FHU, back ins that are small and not level. The sites are satellite friendly so I haven't tried the cable TV. We lost the internet connection several times during our stay. The bathrooms are inadequate for this park and were not clean. The small laundry cannot handle more than 2 customers. Typical of the area, there is no recycling. We camped at Hollywood Casino Hotel & RV Park in a Motorhome.
