Two Rivers Campground, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed a couple of nights while our truck was serviced and we toured Nashville. Called ahead for a reservation and were able to get a site despite it being a busy holiday weekend. Check in was easy and the staff friendly and helpful. Interior roads are old asphalt but wide and easy to navigate. We had a back in gravel site that required a little leveling, FHU with 30amp service. Picnic table on a concrete pad. Sites are separated by trees and grass. Most sites had some shade. Plenty of room for awnings and slides. Utilities and sewer well placed and all worked fine. The 30amp connection did not have a breaker but they tell you where the breaker box is located that serves your site. Clean restrooms and showers. Nice pool and nightly live music entertainment. Convenient shuttle pick up to take you downtown. We would stay here again if in Nashville. We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wawa RV Resort and Campground, Wawa, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time in Canada and this campground was a nice find. Easy, friendly check in without a reservation. Interior roads are gravel/dirt and easy to navigate. Site was level with a gravel/dirt mix and utilities in good location. 30amp connection did not have a breaker but we found that same situation at another Canadian campground we stayed at later. All sites have trees for full to part shade with plenty of room for slides and awnings. Nice pool area, did not use but lots of other people did. Clean restrooms. Showers are separate individual rooms apart from the restrooms. Would stay here again. We camped at Wawa RV Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Marion Campground & RV Park, Marion, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Called ahead for a one night reservation. Easy access from the highway. Check in was quick and easy, friendly office staff. Assigned a long pull thru FHU site with 20,30,50amp service. Interior roads are gravel and easy to navigate. Site was also gravel and level enough for a one night stay. Utilities and sewer well placed and no problems encountered. Clean restroom/shower combination rooms. Lots of cable channels. Good park for overnight or a couple of days to explore the area. We would stay here again. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Kearney RV Park and Campground, Kearney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said this park is divided into two separate areas. We stayed in the smaller campground near the office. Wide gravel roads, easy to navigate. Long pull thru sites with level concrete pads. Sites are 20,30,50amp FHU with well placed utilities. They are close together but enough room for slides and awnings. Some small trees but not much shade at any sites and only grass in between. Check in was easy and the girl in the office was pleasant. Restrooms and separate showers were clean. Good place for a one night stopover. We would stay again. We camped at Kearney RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

International Peace Garden, Dunseith, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice stop on our way back into the U.S. We had a large pull thru site with a level concrete pad, water, electric, picnic table and fire pit. Plenty of trees for shade with bushes and ground cover for privacy. Lots of space between sites. Utilities well placed. Easy access dump station on your way out There are two buildings with restrooms and showers, one building was a little newer but both were clean. Good campground for an overnight stop or a couple of days to rest and relax. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at International Peace Garden in a Travel Trailer.

Medora Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park but a good location to use as a base while visiting the national park and the little town of Medora. Check in was easy and everyone in the office was friendly. Interior roads are gravel and red dirt as well as the sites. Our site was a 20amp FHU pull thru that was slightly unlevel and had some shade. Being a 20amp site the office requested we not use our A/C which worked out ok as it was comfortable enough without it. Sites are close together but enough room for our slide and awning. Restrooms were clean but older. Showers are separate from the restrooms. We would stay here again. We camped at Medora Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Miller's Camping Resort, Portage La Prairie, Manitoba

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large campground with many permanent/seasonal units that are kept up very nicely. The front part of the park is for travelers. Check in was easy and the man in the office was friendly and helpful. Interior roads are gravel and easy to navigate. Our pull thru site was gravel, long but did require a little leveling. Good placement of utilities and no problems encountered. The power pedestal in this park had breakers. Lots of trees for shade. Picnic table and fire ring. Playground for the kids and a nice pool. Although the park is just off the highway it was quiet. Clean restrooms and showers. You do have to pay for the shower, $1 for five minutes. Overall a nice neat and clean park. We would stay again. We camped at Miller's Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed one night. Check in quick and easy. Front of the park is for permanent or seasonal people and travelers towards the back. Interior roads are gravel and easy to navigate. Our site, a 30amp FHU pull thru, was grass and dirt but level. Good placement of utilities and they worked fine. No breaker on 30amp connection. Good space with trees and bushes between sites. Picnic table provided. Clean restrooms and showers located in the middle of the rear campground. Nice pool but we did not use. Would stay again. Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island KOA, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice KOA and a good location to visit Macinac Island. Friendly staff and quick, easy check in. Very active park with a nice pool and things for the kids to do. Interior roads and sites are gravel. Our site was level with picnic table and fire ring. Sites are close together but enough room for slides and awnings without encroaching on your neighbor. Utilities in a good location and everything worked fine. Sewer near the front of the site would require longer hose so we used the dump station when we left. Enough trees so all sites have some shade. No ground vegetation between sites just grass. Restrooms and showers were clean. Plenty of cable channels. Shuttle for the ferry to the island picks you up ay the office. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Elkhart County Fairgrounds, Goshen, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived early for the FROG Rally and were assigned a spot in the fenced field area near the vendor buildings. Units were placed close together but enough room for slides and awnings. Temporary power and water lines laid out for the rally worked fine. Restrooms and showers were kept clean. Interior roads in the actual campground are paved and easy to navigate. There are FHU sites available but also dump stations. The fairground staff and those running the rally did an excellent job. This is a good location to explore the Amish country and visit the rv manufacturers. Nightly rate shown was for early arrival. We would stay here again. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Whispering Hills RV Park, Georgetown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for one night on our way north. Made our reservation online which was very easy. The road leading to the campground is narrow but not heavily traveled so we did not encounter any problem. Large open campground with gravel roads and sites. Easy check in and friendly staff. Escorted to our pull thru site which was level and did not require unhooking. Sites are close together but enough room for slides and awnings. Nice pool and clean restrooms and showers. Good place to stop for a night or two. Mayberry Campground, Mount Airy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice clean campground spread over a large open area with mostly just grass between sites. Check in was quick and easy, staff friendly and helpful. Interior roads in good condition. Our pull thru gravel site was level, had a fire pit but no picnic table. Utilities were in a good location with 20, 30, 50 amp service and we did not encounter any problems. There is only one restroom building in the park at the entrance and it has only one shower each in the men's and ladies. The campground is in an excellent location to visit Mount Airy and the surrounding area. We would camp here again. We camped at Mayberry Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stopped here for one night on our way north. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy some of what the campground has to offer. Check in was quick and easy. Large park with long, wide sites that have plenty of room for slides and awnings. Did have to do a little leveling. Good interior roads. Mostly grass between sites but some do have trees. Clean restrooms with individual rooms with shower, sink and toilet. Utilities in good location and all worked well. Nice pool with slide. Well stocked store and a small restaurant on site. Dixie Caverns Campground, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night on our way home. This is an older park that is falling into decline. The woman running it is trying her best but I think she is overwhelmed. Interior roads are broken asphalt and gravel. Many permanent / seasonal units and some in desperate need of washing and repair. Our site was grass and gravel but was level. Sites are very close together with only some trees and no vegetation in between for any privacy. Utilities worked okay with 20, 30,50amp available. Restrooms were older and in need of cleaning and painting. No paper towels, hand dryers or soap. Showers did not have dressing areas attached to them. We would not camp here again. Only stayed one night on our way home. Our site was a long back-in with a slight downward slope but the pad was level. Nice view of the lake. Large area for the picnic table. Good location of the water and electric. Restroom nearby was small but clean. The restroom with the showers was a bit farther away but a walkable distance. Overall a nice COE park.
