Sun Resorts RV Park, Mesquite, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with spacious sites. Plenty of room for our dog pen. Laundry was very nice, clean and a deal at $1.50 to wash. Smith's [Grocery Store, Pharmacy, Bakery] is conveniently located next door with handy access through a gate. Quiet at night. We would stay here again in this growing town. We camped at Sun Resorts RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Carefree Village Resort, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We spent three winters here and have seen the atmosphere decline in this park each year. The owners and management are geared to park model owners not RVers. We have seen our neighbors be told that they have to move off their site early in anticipation of putting a park model on it. There are people designated to drive around looking for rule breakers. Then they leave the complaint in your mailbox. This used to be a fun laid back park but it has turned into a park of suspicious neighbors and picky management. We camped at Carefree Village Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Saguaro RV Park, Jackpot, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at the park that's to the south of the Casino where it's FCFS. You pick up an envelope at the park entrance, fill it out, put $24/night inside and drop it off at the Hotel check out/in desk that's located by the gift shop. There's plenty of sites to pick from. Nice long, paved sites with grass between. We camped at Saguaro RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Snake River RV Park & Campground, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel sites with grass between. Some of the pull thru used the buddy set up so that meant that you are very close to the neighbors on your hookup side. There's construction of new sites with pads at the back of the park. Each site had a picnic table with tablecloth and a fire pit.Laundry was two buildings with ample machines at $1.25/load. We camped at Snake River RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Not a bad park on a hill. Needs some TLC. Spacious pull thru gravel lots. The area is excellent with lots to see and do. The Uptown is a must see as well as the Orphan Mine tour. We camped at 2 Bar Lazy H RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Be sure to go to Muzz and Stan's Freeway Tavern and get the Wop Chop sandwich or the chicken dinner. There's a great Celtic store - Cavanaugh's County Celtic in Uptown for all things Irish. If you take the tour at the World Mining Museum be sure to sign up for the 100' tour.

Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch, Big Timber, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Considering the fact that we were in a water/electric only site, I feel the site is overpriced. All the sites 1-14 are along the creek and not FHU. The site we were in, #5, has no view of the creek because of brush and is really designed for a coach that can pull in because the hookup is on the opposite side. It was so tight we had to park our hauler on our neighbors site and were unable to access the back door because it was blocked by the service pole. Having said all that, there's great restaurants in town and the views are spectacular. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Glacier Peaks RV Park, Columbia Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Good for one night. We wanted to see Glacier Park and this park had an opening after trying three other area parks. We thought we could get by with 30 amp service. We were wrong. The Voltage dropped to 103 most days. laundry was pricey $2.50-$2.75 to wash and many machines were out of order. Nothing special about the park. Gravel and dead grass. Nearby neighbors with barking dogs. Only 15 miles into Glacier park though. There's one extremely tight turn getting our 42 ft fifth wheel into the site area. Be sure and book your red bus tour early! 4 hours was plenty. We camped at Glacier Peaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gig Harbor RV Resort, Gig Harbor, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Yes it's an over priced, gravel site, park but really the best in the area. The trolley makes it all worthwhile. For $1 you can ride all day. It makes going downtown and paying $18 for a hamburger possible. Or you can walk to Puerto Vallarta or JP's Hy Lu Hee Hee (yes it's where the locals go) and get Fabulous food. The office staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. We camped at Gig Harbor RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We happened to catch the park in between owners. There wasn't a manager present and staff was in transition. Hopefully the new owners will give attention to the much needed updates and sprucing up. The location can't be beat. . . Close to Charleston and Coos Bay. The beach is steps away. The park just needs some improvements. We camped at Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Susanville RV Park, Susanville, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a no frills park. You get a cement slab and full hookup. Nice grass between sites. Lots of permanent residents. The laundry was very clean. $1.50 wash, $2.00 dry. Good for a night or two. Cable and wifi was sketchy. Check in was interesting. She was a little crabby because we were early. The rest of the staff was very helpful. We camped at Susanville RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
