Orlando Winter Garden Campground Resort, Winter Garden, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Electric was good and water quality was good. They have a nice shuffleboard court, and have some activities through the winter. Lots of people here staying for the winter and some look like they live here all the time. Also have workers staying here as well. Large fenced in dog park. We camped at Orlando Winter Garden Campground Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Alliance Hill 50 Plus RV Resort, Marianna, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly new (4 years) over 50 park with only 14 FHU sites so far. Nice concrete pad and picnic table on pad; large, spacious grassy area next to site. Water quality good; electric good. Beautiful club house with couch, tables, TV, kitchen area, laundry room. Pool behind club house. No other activities though (billiards, shuffle board, etc.) Fenced in dog park with toys and other things for the dogs. There is a dirt road around the field to walk the dogs. Manager very nice; met us at the gate to let us in. Owner off site but very nice over the phone. We camped at Alliance Hill 50 Plus RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Maxey Care RV Park, Morganza, Louisiana

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Small park but our site was a pull through on rocks and level. Water was on the soft side and had a slight smell to it, but otherwise was OK. Electric quality was good. Electric went out shortly after we got there but came back on about 5:15 pm. Walked the dogs in the city and then found the old high school with the front gate unlocked. It's now the local Senior Center. They found something good to eat under a huge tree in the front yard - I just hope it was pecans as there seems to be a lot of pecans in the area. Took them back in the morning and went around to the back where there is a huge lot and walked around that. We camped at Maxey Care RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ajax Country Livin' RV Park at I-49, Marthaville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Small RV Park with pull throughs and back in; we were given a pull through. Had good electric but the water was soft and left a feeling on the skin. It was very wet as it had been raining a lot. I had a hard time finding a place to walk the dogs; first night down a road. Next morning walked the other way down the main road and found a field where I let them loose (private property). They have a nice lake but the only way around it was down a muddy wet path but there was so much rain I did not go through it. We camped at Ajax Country Livin' RV Park at I-49 in a Travel Trailer.

The Trails @ Lavender Road, Tyler, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Very new RV Park just off of I-20. Our site was a pull through and the water quality and electric were good. The site was not very level and had to put a block on the street side. No cable but was able to get antenna stations. I did find a nice place to walk the dogs up a trail next to the park which took us up behind it and up into the woods where it looked like ATV trails and deer stands. But there was no one there and we had a good walk. Owner was very nice and friendly. We camped at The Trails @ Lavender Road in a Travel Trailer.

Yerby's RV Park, Dumas, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Also a mobile home park with lots of RV spots; our site was concrete and level. The electric voltage was on the low side but the water quality was good. They do not have showers or bathhouse, but do have a laundry room. They offer WiFi, but no cable. We were able to get enough over the air stations, all in the good area. No picnic table, but there was a nice grassy area next to us. Next door to soccer fields, high school across the street, and McDade Park is right down the street. Park has playground, water park, and walking trail. Huge field behind high school to also walk and let the dogs loose. We camped at Yerby's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Terry Bison Ranch Resort, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great place. Lots of animals (horses, ostrich, donkey, chickens, turkey, camels, pigs, bison), train ride, horse trail rides; fishing; ATV rides; great restaurant; saloon. Lots of FHU pull through and back-in sites. They also have cabins and tent sites. Water and electric both good. No cable but lots of OTA stations. Sites are gravel and very close together. There is a clubhouse but I did not go in. Nice gift shop. Family friendly - two playgrounds. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Caspar Campground, Casper, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through and back-in FHU sites. Also have tent sites. Looks like a lot of full timers, but it was quiet and well kept. The "back-in" sites in the center were a bit confusing as we were told two RV's should fit in one section, but we are 50' combined between the RV & truck, and took up both sites. The water & electric were both good; we had WiFi and cable. The sites are all gravel with no grass. They have three very small dog parks, but there is river walk trail, which was very nice. We camped at Fort Caspar Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Parkway Trailer & RV Park, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We had a nice big grassy spot (14) back in. Lots of mobile homes around the outside for permanent residents, the 25 RV sites are on the inside. Water quality was good; electric good. Nice bathrooms and laundry room. No playground; no cable. They do offer WiFi. (cash or check only) Got some OTA stations with antenna pointed west to the mountain top, but even in the good area were pretty sketchy. Verizon service good. Only place to walk the dogs was on the sidewalk across the street. There are lots of RV Parks in Cody but this one was the least expensive, and very nice. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Parkway Trailer & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wind River RV Park, Riverton, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly long pull through sites with good water quality and good electric. I don't see any playground but they do have a meeting room. Showers cost $. Sites are level, gravel, with a picnic table. No cable and very few OTA TV stations. Verizon was good. Sits in a residential area so I turned left out of the park to walk down to the baseball fields (watch out for sand spurs) and also the recycling center had a road next to it for walking. We camped at Wind River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wind River View Campground, Boulder, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018
Overall Rating:

Run by a young couple who are very nice, but not in the park much. The park houses men working in the oil fields. The water quality was good as was the electric. They have a bathhouse and a very nice laundry, exercise room (double wide). They have pull-throughs and back-ins with picnic tables. They have a nice playground for kids. The park is a bit run down but they just hired an on site manager who is working on getting the park in shape. They offer WiFi, but there is no cable and we got about 5 OTA stations. The people who own the shepherd mentioned in previous reviews have been told to tie it up. We camped at Wind River View Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Next biggest town is Pinedale, 11 miles north where they have everything you need, from groceries to restaurants. We stayed here because we wanted to visit Grand Teton National Park. It took 2 hours to drive there, but considering the campground did not cost anything, it was worth the drive.

Overall Rating:

Family owned & operated. Lots of FHU sites; pull through with some back-in. Water quality good (high pressure), electric good. Bathrooms and laundry in good shape. Have tents sites. Playground for kids. They offer cable at some sites. Had no problem getting Internet service on my Jetpack. Restaurants in walking distance (Don Pedro excellent). We camped at Phillips RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Bear River State Park next door. I found a way to get into it to take a walk along the river on the trail (go out of park to the left and walk down the road; before the bend turn right into a junk yard area. You will see a bridge and green fence. At end of fence by bridge is a small area to squeeze through).

Canyon View RV Park, Spanish Fork, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Owned and run by the City of Spanish Fork, it is W/E only with a dump station. It is also a parking lot. Leveling was a bit tough as the tongue had to be almost hitting the pavement. The water was good quality and the electric was good as well. There is a dirt trail behind the RV section that goes down the hill to the park. There is also a biking, walking trail around the park that runs next to the stream passing a horse farm. Very pleasant walk. Coming from the east, go past the big sign that you can't read (park sign) and drive a bit further to the RV park on the right (the GPS takes you to the main park entrance). Look at Google Maps to get to the RV Park. We camped at Canyon View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice RV park outside of town next to the Old Spanish Trail Arena (good place to take a walk with your dogs). FHU with good water quality and electric is good; they offer WiFi and Cable. We got a nice shady spot through some are out in the sun. Gravel pull through with a little grass and a picnic table. They have pull through, back-in and tent sites. Tips for other Campers:

Moab, Utah - of course, there is Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. There are 3 sections to Canyonlands but if you only do one, give extra time for Arches because there is a lot more to see there. Moab Brewery in town has great food and gelato.

Blue Mountain RV Park, Blanding, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

They have back-in sites and also pull through. They have tent sites as well. FHU; electric was good and water quality good. Nice laundry room with 2 washers & 2 dryers. Restrooms nice. Sites are gravel with a small patch of grass and cement walkway; other sites are just gravel with no grass. They are doing a lot of upgrading. No full time people but they may have some workampers. They offer internet but I had my Jetpack which I used instead; no cable. TV Antenna OK - point north and you get about 25 stations, but they are iffy.
