Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The rate reflects a weekly rate. Very convenient to I-40. Plenty of room to get around the park -- wide turns and wide streets. All sites are FHU pull throughs. No problem getting satellite reception. Very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of room on the site for our 40' MH and our F-150. All sites were concrete, asphalt or stone so it was very clean. Nice location for seeing the sights. Would stay here anytime we are passing through on I-40. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you don't do anything else go to the Panhandle-Plains Museum in Canyon (about 20 miles away). Allow 3 to 4 hours in the Museum. Also take in Palo Duro Canyon and Jack Sisemore RV Museum.

Taos Monte Bello RV Park, El Prado, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this park and would definitely stay here anytime I am in the area. All sites are wide pull throughs. Very easy to get around the park in our 40' MH. Plenty of room for the MH and an F-150 pickup at all sites. Not all of the sites are FHU but we were lucky to get one for 8 nights. We had no trouble getting our satellite. We have our own WIFI so I cannot comment on that. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Mountain views everywhere you looked. Excellent location for seeing the sights. We camped at Taos Monte Bello RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely go to Martinez Hacienda, Taos Pueblo & Mellicent Rogers Museum. If you have time go to Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, Kit Carson Home and Museum, and San Francisco de Asis Mission. Also, it's a gorgeous ride to Santa Fe.

Monte Verde RV Camp, Angel Fire, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects the monthly rate. We loved it here. We had a pull through site with full hookups with a view of Wheeler Peak. In the evening elk would come from the woods and we could watch them from our front window. We were also entertained by prairie dogs. We didn't use the internet as we have our own. We were able to get satellite tv. The owners are very helpful and friendly. It's a beautiful ride into Taos. One warning -- pay attention to the owners directions to their park. We didn't and our ride was hairy. Take their directions and you will have no problem. We camped at Monte Verde RV Camp in a Motorhome.
