Oakzanita Springs, Descanso, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

As several have mentioned, the turn into the park is very sharp if coming from the south. Hwy 79 coming in is narrow and winding, not for the faint of heart. The campground is typical of most TT campgrounds in that is rustic, but clean and serviceable. We stayed in the "A" section which is primarily 30 amp and water, no sewer. We were right across the street from the bathroom, then a short walk on the sidewalk to the pools and lodge. Loved the convenience! Many of the roads (especially in "B" section are hilly and small, and could be difficult for larger rigs. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We found the water pressure to be a bit weak at the site, but showered at the bathroom, which was OK. We camped in a 33' rig and would definitely return. We camped at Oakzanita Springs in a Fifth Wheel.

Diamond Point RV Resort, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Great little park near Sequim on the Olympic Peninsula. Very clean & private restrooms & showers! WiFi was very good. Spaces are a little cramped, but very workable. There are 2 restrooms and 3 showers. A better configuration might be 3 restrooms and 2 showers. We camped at Diamond Point RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove up to Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park. The views are amazing and worth the long windy ride. There are many trailheads for hikers. A trip to Port Townsend can be fun as well. Sequim has both Costco and Walmart, plus other shopping.

Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Love the campsites with the trees giving you a bit of privacy. Access to the Little Deschutes for swimming and tubing is awesone. Downsides are no wifi at campsites, very few 50 amp sites and no sewer at campsites. Because roads and sites are dirt, expect dust. We will definitely return. We camped at Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Floating in the little Deschutes in a tube is a blast and the staff will pick you up at the end.

Cascade Meadows RV Resort, La Pine, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

As others have mentioned, there is some road noise and there are definitely trains. Those are the only major detractors. We like the green lawns which keep the dust down. Most campgrounds in this area are very dusty. Staff is friendly and helpful. One bathroom is dated, the other updated, but both are reasonably clean. We will stay here again. We camped at Cascade Meadows RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Obsidian Flow, Paulina Falls and Lake are very nearby. Crater Lake is about 70 miles, but doable in a 1 day trip. Bend is about 1/2 hour away. Floating the Deschutes is the best!
