Coloma Camperland Campground, Coloma, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

The folks who run this park are apparently former RVers who know what is important from the customers point of view. They manage a park that is partly full time residents and a few transient sites. Overall this park is beautifully kept up and our overnight site was first class. The Utilities, EWS, were all new and were easily accessible. We camped at Coloma Camperland Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A bit difficult to find from the highway. Exit north of town, turn by the Subway, through the business district under the interstate then left on 5th rd.

Ellis Lakeside Campground, Ellis, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

I hate Interstates! However I 70 through Kansas is not as bad as some. My wife (navigator) chose this route and we stopped for the night in this park only a mile south of the highway. It is a quiet, city run park on the bank of a small body of water. The sites are level and spacious, who could ask for anything more for twenty bucks?

I'll tell you what. Incredible WIFI service that rivals broadband at home. This park should be rated by CNET as one of the most internet friendly places in the USA. The wifi was free and whoever provides it should be thanked for a job well done. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Buy gas at the larger station at the interstate, one mile north. Larger RVs won't fit in the smaller station.

Hall County Park, Grand Island, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park that was mostly full with folks that had been there before. One review earlier made mention of "first come first serve" sites being held by the campground host for friends. I have no problem with someone paying for a site in advance and arriving late. One site blocked off on the night of our visit was still vacant in the morning. Was this site paid for?

This camping area is located at the very back of very nice municipal park and the signage to find the camping area is almost non existent. The road, though paved, resembles a hiking or cycling path and I was concerned as to whether I should be driving a vehicle on it.

Once the camping area is located the sites are spacious and well laid out with 50 amp electric and no water at the site. There is a water fill station immediately as you enter the camping area. We camped at Hall County Park in a Motorhome.
