Salome KOA, Salome, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were level and large. The RV park was very clean and nicely kept. The laundry was very nice. They also had a great game room with a lot of games, books etc. We didn't use the pool, but it looked very nice as well. We would definitely come back. We camped at Salome KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Salome is quite small. Two restaurants and a gas station. However, we understand there is a lot of ATV trails surrounding the town. The KOA can accept mail for their guests. The staff were all very helpful and accomodating. Bring your groceries when you come. The town of Wickenburg is 45 miles north of Salome and has any store you would need. Quartzsite is approx 30 miles west and also would have about any store you would need.

Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground, Joshua Tree, California

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived here in a horrendous wind storm and had a problem with our rear stabilzers. We ended up having to leave as we could not get them down. The mgmt was very accomodating and gave us a full refund and sent us to a RV repair shop that was able to repair the problem in a very timely fashion. So we returned to the RV park and got settled. The sites are huge and easy to get into. Might be a bit tricky to get level but you can do it. The RV park is located quite a way off the main drag, but once you get there and get set up, it is so quiet and peaceful. The only noise we heard were the birds chirping. We camped at Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

If in the area, you must definitely go to Joshua Tree Natl Park. The rock formations were unbelievable. Great interior roads too!
