Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park, after our arrival, our host stopped by to make sure we were ok & brought us homemade cookies. Gravel spots are placed well, there is a picnic table & no firepit. The pool is saltwater & well kept. The laundry is $2 per load w/d and the office has quarters. The office also has some products for sale. Otherwise it is close to stores. Minimally shaded spaces but plenty of room. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

DiamondJacks Casino and Resort, Bossier City, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is next door to the casino and at night it is overly bright. The parking lot for the casino is right next to the Rv park & it's very loud. It's very expensive for what little amenities. You are able to use the casino pool but first you need to go to the front desk, get a hotel key & arm bands. The pool had many kids who weren't guests. Those others who were guests were very disruptive. It did have a hot tub.

The road is all concrete to the rv park, concrete pads. The park is neat, clean & easy to pull through. All hookups worked fine. We camped at DiamondJacks Casino and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Trader's Village RV Park, Grand Prairie, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very convenient RV park to Dallas. We visited a lot of Dallas sites & most were only 30 mins away. The airport next door is small bi plans & helicopters, not overwhelmingly disturbing. The coin laundry is the most reasonable I've ever used. The pool is 3-8ft deep and perfectly clean & large. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Whispering Oaks Campground, Story City, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The full hook ups are in the front & the sites are in the wide open, but each has a picnic table & Fire ring. This place did not have readily accessible firewood. They are also large back-in sites. The back sites are a bit more secluded. Great place to rest your head!! Needs lots of mosquito spray in the summer! We camped at Whispering Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pokegama Lake RV Park, Pine City, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The couple who runs it is very nice & helpful. The back of the property looks like permanent residents. Pull thru spots are easy to maneuver, they are all open, so neighbors can see in easily, very few trees around. Good place to rest your head. WiFi booster needed We camped at Pokegama Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Hoodoo Point Campground (City Park), Tower, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The park hosts are amazing, very friendly & beyond helpful. Their office has an old time candy store & ice cream shop ( closes at 7pm). The sites are private, as each is heavily wooded on both sides. The outer sites on the peninsula are idyllic: overlooks the lake and you can launch a kayak from your site, or go swimming if you like freezing water ;-). They are a bit difficult to back into as the openings are not flared out, but we managed to get 50' of truck, hitch, & trailer in with a bit of back n forth ( our trailer is 30'). The water spigot is a bit far away, so a 50' hose is recommended. There is No sewer hook up but the dump site is right there in the front of the property. Across from the entrance is a paved bike path that leads to town. The town is very small but has great folks & amenities. Tiny Bubbles is a great laundromat. The adjourning restaurant is run by a wonderful couple serving good food. The summer sunset can't be beat. This lake is very large, so expect choppiness on windy days. We camped at Hoodoo Point Campground (City Park) in a Travel Trailer.
