Sierra View MH & RV Park, Lone Pine, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was an unplanned stay due to mechanical issues with our motorhome. We had just passed by and noticed some empty spaces. There are only 10 spaces for RV's and this is mostly a mobile home park. However, the space was clean, quiet and all connections (electric - 30 AMP only, water, sewer) worked well. The other reviewers said the park had Wifi but the owner told us only spaces one and two had access to the Wifi. This was not a problem for us as we have a Verizon hotspot and it worked very well. There is also a free Wifi (Main Street) that is accessible from the park but we did not try it. If you come to Lone Pine, CA to hike, bike or just visit, this is a fine base camp. Spaces are sand and fairly level. I noticed they were a little tight for other RV's with slide outs. Each spot has a cement pad with a white plastic picnic table this is in good condition. Limited shade. The park is clean but there are no showers, restrooms or laundry facilities. The owner was friendly and accommodating and mentioned that he does like long term customers. Please note, payment is CASH ONLY. All spots are back-in only. Lots of families and children in the mobile homes. Pretty quiet and not much street noise. Nice view of the Sierra Nevadas. Lots of local eateries, shops and a few pubs within walking distance. Quaint town. We camped at Sierra View MH & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

City park across the street (HWY 395), lots of local eateries, shops and a few pubs within walking distance. Enter the park from the south entrance (mobile home area) and make the loop around the RV area.

Horn Rapids RV Resort, Richland, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is extremely clean and well maintained. The office hours are 5:00 AM t0 9:00 PM so, unless you are arriving very late or leaving very early, the staff is available to check you in and they guide you to your site. Upon arrival at your site, they also walk you through the hook up process. Each site is pull-through and the connections are in tip-top shape. Each site has a beautifully landscaped grass patch, which is great for humans and dogs. They also have an enclosed "off-leash" dog run for your pups, as well as a pool and air-conditioned bathrooms if you need them. There are some long-timers but their spaces are also very well maintained. There is a small general store that provides necessities and they also have breakfast (biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, coffee, etc. for sale at a very modest price). The WiFi is very good and cell service is very usable. The lots are gravel but surrounded by pavement and grass and very level. There is very little street noise. Spaces are tight but we found the neighbors to be very friendly and respectful of personal space. This was an overnight stay for us and the weather was very hot (July), but the stay was enjoyable. The customer service is excellent and we would definitely stay here again if in the area. Overall, one of the best stop-over places we've experienced. 5-stars except for location. We camped at Horn Rapids RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Beautiful green park in a brown drought-surrounded location. Feels like you found an oasis of green in a sea of brown.

Leeds RV Park & Motel, Leeds, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped over for just one night stay on our journey north. We arrived late and our assignment was posted on the door with site instructions. The lots and spaces are all gravel with a cement slab that contains a wooden picnic table. The lot was level and we did not have to make any adjustments to our motorhome. The RV park was easy to access to/from I-15 (about 3 minute drive). All of the hookups worked well and Internet was fast. They had cable with a lot of channels but we didn't use this feature as we arrived late and left early. There were sufficient trees for shade but placed so there was no concern of overhang that would interfere with parking. There were a few "full timers" but their spaces were well kept and everyone in the park was friendly. There was a nice grass patch at the front of the park to walk the dogs. There is another large green space in front of the office and motel but there was a sign posted "no dogs on the grass." That was okay because there was another location well suited for walking them. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had to move our reservation back a night due to change in schedule and they made this very easy without any extra charges. We would stay here again. We camped at Leeds RV Park & Motel in a Motorhome.
