The Old Barn Resort, Preston, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We attended a rally. Very nice restaurant on site. A bit dusty and the entrance road was a mess. The last 100 feet were very narrow and no way could two vehicles traveling in opposite directions make it through. Cell reception is poor or non existent for ATT. Verizon was better. No WiFi except at the Barn. OTA TV channels were hard to come by too. We camped at The Old Barn Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Barkcamp State Park, Belmont, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed overnight on our way to MN to visit family. Very clean park. Large sites but be careful if you have a longer rig. Ours is 36 ft and we would have some issues with some sites. We camped at Barkcamp State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort, Bath, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Great Park! In easy travel distance to all the Finger Lakes attractions including Watkins Glen and Wineries. We attended a rally for the weekend in October so the pools were closed and it was cooler. The sites are mostly grassy so be careful if it's been raining. We had to help a motorhome out due to the ground being too wet. We camped at Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Creek Campground, Gardners, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We found this park to be a really nice place especially for campers with kids. There is a creek that all the kids loved to tube down. Plenty of activities, mini golf, large pool, hay rides and music on Saturday night. The store is very nice and fully stocked with lots of things a camper might need. Hand dipped ice cream! The only issue you should be aware of is if there is a lot of rain, the campground will flood in spots and be very muddy and soggy in others. We have almost 4 inches of rain on Friday night Our site seemed to weather it well but others had puddles that lasted through Sunday. Some of the tent campers had to vacate their spots and others got stranded by water surrounding their tents. There are a lot of seasonal campers here too. Most sites are water and electric. A honey wagon will pump you out for about $13. There are few 50 amp sites. Its a really great location in spite of the rain issues. I'm sure we will be back! We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are into hiking, the Appalachian trail is just a few short miles in either direction from the campground. Michaux State Forest, Pine Grove Furnace State Park and the Appalachian Trail Museum is just down the road about 4 miles. Laurel Lake and Fuller Lake are there too.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at the campground for two nights. The sites are very close together and not very level. We were visiting friends and only used the campground for sleeping. It has a very nice pool. Bathrooms and showers were clean and the staff was friendly. We camped at Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Seashore Campsites & RV Resort, Cape May, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here the July 4th weekend with 4 adults and 2 children. Sites are very tight but we were able to get out three slides out. We could not open the slide awing as a tree was in the way. There is adequate shade in most sites but this campground is packed! If you like a lot of activity, kids, etc. then you will be OK here. We enjoyed ourselves. It is about 5 miles from the beach but go early as parking is a challenge. Our fire ring was busted up and we could not use it to cook on. We have to buy a small charcoal grill. Our site had a cement pad with a picnic table which was nice. We would stay here again but ask for a slightly larger site. We camped at Seashore Campsites & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
