Wickham Park Campground, Melbourne, Florida
Date of Stay:
March, 2017 -
$20.00
Overall Rating:
Showers had a bit of mold in the nearest bath so we used our RV shower. However, in spite of this minor annoyance this park is wonderful and the third time we have stopped; this time for 3 months. Mostly very large spaces and excellent FHU services. Office staff is great and there are a lot of park activities and great restaurrants and local groceries nearby. Note: There is no propane company that will come to this park. There is also "the wickham shuffle" where rvs are moved frequently to other sites..."the computer is the problem". we moved three times even though two of the reservations were made 2/16. But the park itself makes this almost acceptable. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.
Cape Canaveral and Ron Jons are 20 miles away and the beach is about 15 minutes east. There is also a Planet Fitness a few miles away and Publix, walmart are a few minutes away. Also some excellent vegetable and hispanic food stores are close as are many Veterans clubs. Great park for bicycling and multiple lakes for fishing, although I saw fishermen but no fish.

International RV Park & Campground, Daytona Beach, Florida
Date of Stay:
March, 2017 -
$35.00
Overall Rating:
A great park; many amenities. So much better than the other three parks that we have stayed at in Daytona over the past five years. We will stop here again. Close to everything including Total Wine and More and a super cajun strip mall restaurant. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Again the best park in the area. We camped at International RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
This park is near everything with the beach straight east. A giant fleas market is also nearby.

Beaver Lake Campground, Quincy, Florida
Date of Stay:
December, 2016 -
$18.00
Overall Rating:
Easy entry and egress, level grassy site, power post and water were excellent.
Registration is inside the Marathon station. Passport rate is in cash only. Check in person, her English was good, and she followed our coach to change our site number. Sometimes we forget that the USA is a country of non natives. Everything went well and there is a quick grocery in the station office.
A great overnight stop just off 10. Good space to walk the dog.
There are a few fire ant hills, not many but a few. We
camped at Beaver Lake Campground in a Motorhome.
We stayed in the coach after walking the dog and dinner. However, there is a casino nearby.
The grocery seems well supplied, even had a Good Sam ad booklet.

Our neighbor had a power post problem, maybe because the temperature was below freezing, and the staff was there immediately.

camped at KV'S RV Camping and Storage in a Motorhome.

Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Date of Stay:
March, 2016 -
$20.00
Overall Rating:
Large spaces on grass, near LSU and downtown.
Helpful staff. Solid 50 amp and water. no sewer but there is a dump site. Close to the river for walking.
Such a deal.
The road to the park crosses the RR tracks at a severe angle. check your maps because there are lower track crossings closer to I-12. My coach is just 32' and towing and we expected too, but did not scrape.
Park is great for dog running and there were usually people riding at the horse arena. If the ground is too wet you can park further to the campground rear on gravel. We
camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.
Great restaurants are a short drive away

Daytona Beach RV Resort, Port Orange, Florida
Date of Stay:
December, 2015 -
$35.00
Overall Rating:
For the second time our reserved 50 amp site was not "in the computer".
So we were put in a 30 amp space that was a very tight fit.
We were visiting friends nearby and decided to stay.
The sites are not paved, concrete or gravelled. Very close together but sunny and open. We
camped at Daytona Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Port Orange and Daytona is a great place for bars, restaurants and the beach.
