Whalers Rest RV & Camping Resort, South Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Pictures taken at Whalers Rest, Newport Oregon, a Thousand Trails RV Park. This is RAW sewage on the ground. You can see the site next to you. Has a septic line right by your front door. NO way to sit out in the extra small postage stamp of grass with the smell of septic. We complained 2 days straight, on the 3rd day I went to the office to see the manager. Upon my open complaint of "crap" in the yard, we were asked to leave for cursing at the staff. We are reporting to Health Department. We were leaving the next morning, but with this event demanded a full refund which they gave us.

There is NO WiFi at this park unless you want to go sit in their club house computer room. The cable TV that hardly worked was $3.00 a day extra. No cell phone service. The pool had crabs, my husband took out two crab shells, legs and claws. The walk around the indoor pool was narrow and slippery, dangerous for young children. The hot tub seats 4 people & had an odor. Playground was in poor condition. Many unkept trailers, Looks like they've been parked for years. We camped at Whalers Rest RV & Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Sun Lakes Park Resort, Coulee City, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

My husband and I joined our son, daughter in law and grandchildren at Sun Lakes. Some sites are lush & very green, watered constantly, but many are dust pits, many ruts & littered. Night 1, I went to shower, the bathroom was smelly, sweltering hot, & dirty. The showers had no lock on the door, drain flies, & hair clogged drains. I made a list, took it to the office, they said they would address it. Nope. Each night was an adventure to shower. On night 3, I lost it at the filthy showers & bathrooms, I went to the office & let them know it was not acceptable. The matter was never resolved. The pool was nice, but old, the beach was nice, but small. They have a new snack shack. The mini golf had dried up water features that are used as trash bins by visitors, some had stagnant water with trash floating. We will never return. We camped at Sun Lakes Park Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Love Pioneer Trails. Nice and quiet park. Nice playground for the grandchildren. Bathrooms are clean spacious and are free. It would be nice if they added a pool! We have returned several times. We camped at Pioneer Trails RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
