Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Our stay was during the GA State Fair, hence the high price per night. They were very full. Lots of pull through sites, very close together (TT + table), enough room to park to vehicles side by side. Don't expect privacy. There are also some permanent residents. Nice grounds and bath house. Check-in is easy. Will definitely stay here again! We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stephen C. Foster State Park, Fargo, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Small park. Lots of tent spots, some pull thrus for RVs. Hadn't been mowed in a while. Bugs were a problem (it's August!) Office was under-construction. Didn't like this park as much as others. Won't go back. We camped at Stephen C. Foster State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There's nothing here but the park. The closest town, Fargo, is 18 miles away and has one gas station and a cafe. Make sure you have everything you need.

Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. Great walking trails. Sites are spaced far enough apart that you have your "space". Our site had a view of the river and salt marsh -- great! Will definitely be back. We camped at Crooked River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We choose to have the FHUs. Sites are large, well spaced out, clean, and have a fire pit and table. Options of pull thru or back in. Very nice. Very clean park and helpful staff. We camped at Reed Bingham State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Recommended by staff: Catfish restaurant right outside the main gate (open Thurs-Sun), Horse Creek Winery & Bistro (Exit 41 on I-75). We paddled in the lake and river. Saw some alligators.

Chattahoochee Bend State Park, Newnan, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This park is relatively new (about 3 years old). It is very pretty, though not much to do unless you are into hiking, biking, or doing something with the river. It's very quiet. We camped at Chattahoochee Bend State Park in a Travel Trailer.
