The Pines of Kabetogama Resort, Kabetogama, Minnesota
Date of Stay:
July, 2017 -
$110.00
Overall Rating:
After working 2.5 hours to get our coach level, we finally moved to another overpriced, barely level site. If you have a large motorhome, stay away. Not worth the expense of the site or your travel time. And a bonus - grouchy neighbors! Oh - I almost forgot. The great sewer smell from an uncapped sewer vent. C'mon. And yes, all this for $110.00 a night. We camped at The Pines of Kabetogama Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice quiet park, easy to navigate. Avoid site 58 with a big rig. Many, including us, had a tough time leveling here. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Egg Harbor Campground & RV Resort, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin
Date of Stay:
June, 2017 -
$55.00
Overall Rating:
Great park. Easy to navigate, big level sites. The CG provides a mix of camp sites and cabins. Very nice owners and staff - so thankful they were here and had a site available! We tried to stay at Peninsula State Park which was a disaster in our 45' motorhome. We really enjoyed our stay! We camped at Egg Harbor Campground & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Big Rig? No Way! We tried to camp here in our 45' motorhome. Reserve America stated we could fit in site 421. We could barley navigate the roads in the campground to get to the site. We could not get into the site. Letftband stayed at Egg Harbor down the road. We camped at Penninsula State Park in a Motorhome.

Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA, Durant, Oklahoma
Date of Stay:
September, 2015 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
One of the nicest KOAs we have visited. Wide roads for entry and exits and.....no boulders! Yea! Long level sites with plenty of room for your tow or truck. Right off of state highway 69, a shorter route from Arkansas to Texas. And across from a large Conoco truck stop. Brand new clubhouse - great place. Wish all KOAs were this nice! We camped at Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA in a Motorhome.
If you loke to gamble, this is the place!

Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina
Date of Stay:
September, 2015 -
$45.00
Overall Rating:
DO NOT ATTEMPT IN A BIG RIG. Tight, tight turns. Once you get in the campground, watch carefully for boulders in the road. IN THE ROAD. And the maintenance 'manager' will put the boulders right back IN the road once you move them out. We almost ran one over during our entry today. We luckily spotted it prior to running it over. When i moved it out of the road, the maintenance Manager promptly Moved it back for someone to run over. He was standing near by talking to a guest and watching their off-leash dog. When this hazard mentioned to the maintenance manager, the reply? "It is what it is." Really? It would have been an expensive repair bill and potentially a new tire. Our drive out was no picnic. I drove our toad vehicle separately down the one way )with blind curves and no shoulder) entry road to ensure no one was driving up the road. We hooked up at the bottom of the entry
drive. Yuck. I wish I had a better recommendation in the area - I don't. We
camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Motorhome.

Sebago's Crooked River campground, Casco, Maine
Date of Stay:
August, 2015 -
$45.00
Overall Rating:
We visited this park as part of a kayak trip to the Crooked River, located near Sebago Lake. Owner was nice to let us launch from the campground. After our paddle, we toured the campground and found it to have some of the largest sites we've seen! Located near the town of Casco and the great Sebago Lake State park. The Campground offers kayak rental & tours as well. Renters here were very nice and the area lovely. We camped at Sebago's Crooked River campground in a Motorhome.
Great kayaking on the Crooked River and Sebago Lake.
