South Rim (NPS Campground), Black Canyon Gunnison Nat'l Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

Drydocking with fire ring and picnic table. We just fit into a spot on loop C along the road but had to back it into the spot to snug up against two short "bumper" posts in the ground. Pit toilets, no water in latrines but you can get water for bottles, not for your RV. It is a fairly steep drive in and out for about 5 miles. We camped at South Rim (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Bandelier National Monument, Juniper Campground, Los Alamos, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $6.00
Overall Rating:

Three loops to choose from. We found a spot in the C loop big enough for our 29' trailer and truck. Drydocking only with a dump station on the way out and potable water available in select locations. Pretty area amongst the trees, canyons, and ridgelines. We camped at Bandelier National Monument, Juniper Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Obviously, check out Bandelier National Monument. But, that night, a Thursday I believe, there was a star party (free) with a talk that started at the park's amphitheater.

Red Barn RV Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Small but cozy RV park with very accommodating host. Second time we've stayed here. Last time was one year ago. The best thing about this RV park is the friendly park host. She had insightful recommendations for us in the area and was always willing to help. I would definitely stay here on our next trip through the area. We camped at Red Barn RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Red Barn RV Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed here one night and had picked it out from this website and we were not disappointed. The owner is on site and was extremely helpful, even walking us out to choose a spot and helping us back in the travel trailer to the spot we chose! Each spot was well kept with gravel under the foot of the trailer and grass along side between each spot. Pets are welcome and there are amenities available in the office. We would definitely stay there again. We got a senior discount because at least one of us was over 50. We camped at Red Barn RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

MacMillen RV Park, Fort Davis, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here during an open weekend at Davis Mountains Preserve held by The Nature Conservancy. This RV Park is close to town, where we wanted to be, has easy pull through sites for even the biggest rigs, and has friendly and easy going management on site. Pets are welcome including a separate run for dogs, and the Wi-Fi is very good. Management even let us leave late (~3PM) on a Sunday so we could get in a hike before leaving the Fort Davis area. We will definitely be staying there again on future Fort Davis visits. We camped at MacMillen RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
