Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 4 nights. Check in was effortless and staff were friendly and helpful. Our space was a back in adjacent to the Virgin River on gravel. The spaces were pretty close together and due to a tree we could not extend our awning. The space had a fire pit. The water, sewer and electric were a distance from my trailer hookups and luckily I had electric and sewer extensions. Otherwise I would have had some issues. Cable TV was adequate. Each space came with an aluminum picnic table. It looked like security came by a few times an hour and they were friendly while also keeping unruly guests from disturbing others. The grounds are pet friendly and everything was clean and well maintained. We will be coming back; however, next time we'll reserve a pull through with a cement pad since they give a bit more room between RV's. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Zion National Park is about 12 miles away. We parked in Springdale and took the free shuttle in and out with no issues. Springdale is a nice town, but a bit expensive for souvenirs since it's a tourist destination. Nice grocery store in Le Verkin about 9 miles away in the opposite direction from the resort.

Silver Lake Resort, June Lake, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 4 nights. Upon arrival the gentleman at the office directed us to park and unhook. He then used a forklift to put our travel trailer into the designated spot. The site was level on gravel and a cement slab with a picnic table. All the sites had full hookups and were clean. Staff were nice and accommodating. We ate breakfast on two mornings at the cafe. Never had an issue getting a table, but you need to get there when they open. The food was excellent and attached to the store, which was stocked with anything you may have forgotten at home. On one of the nights there was a commotion with a couple who was in another RV. The sheriff's were called and there was nothing staff could have done to prevent this. Other than that we had a great stay. Make sure you have satellite TV or bring a lot of DVD's since there was no cable/local TV or wifi. Cell service was very spotty at best. We walked across the street and fished most of the time and caught some good sized trout. If you go in the morning to fish get there early since the shore gets busy with anglers or rent a boat. We would stay here again. We camped at Silver Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of June Lake is nearby and within 5-10 minutes away. There was also horseback riding close by.
