Phillips RV Park, Evanston, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This was an extremely well-maintained park with pleasant staff, gravel roads, and a majority of tree-shaded sites. The tree-shaded sites are broad, but those with taller motorhomes and fifth-wheels should be cautious about limb clearances overhead. Park signs warn of high water pressure and recommend using a water pressure regulator. We paid the Good Sam rate, which included $2 in taxes. We camped at Phillips RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

AB Camping & RV Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The park is surprisingly well shaded. It's located in a grove of trees in the midst of featureless plains. The nightly rate was with Good Sam Discount, and included $2.55 in taxes. Campsites were a bit narrow at one end of the park, but were on concrete. We gave a high rating not only because of the physical attributes of the park, ut also due to the operating family's attitude and performance. During a tornado alert, they went to each RV and gathered everyone in the park into the basement of the office building until the threat had passed. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Triple J RV Park, Russell, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We paid the Passport America rate. The sign-in staff member was irritating, telling another employee that here was "...another cheap set of campers." The campground itself was well worn but largely serviceable. The campground is subject to some blowing dust from the gravel roads and the eternal Kansas wind. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Quail Run RV Resort, Wesley Chapel, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2007 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground with friendly, helpful staff. A good place to "kick back" and relax if one stays in the park, or as a base camp for highlight attractions in the Tampa/Sarasota area. Big and small rigs alike are made to feel welcome. Nicely equipped camp store. We stayed for a full week (getting the weekly rate). This is the 5th year we've stayed at Quail Run, and it just keeps getting better. We'll be back next year. We camped at Quail Run RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines), Lake City, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2007 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice older park being upgraded by new owners. It is exceedingly convenient to reach, one edge of the campground being only 150 yards from I-10. As a result, there was road noise, which might bother some persons (not us). The campground staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We paid the Passport America 50% rate. We will return again. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Travel Trailer.

RVacation RV Park, Selma, North Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older facility being updated. Exceedingly pleasant staff. Large, level, and open campsites. We paid the Good Sam discount rate. It is several hundred yards from I-95, and is quite convenient to reach. There was some road noise which didn't bother us (but might if one is very sensitive to road sound). We will gladly use the campground again. We camped at RVacation RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
