Bodega Bay RV Park, Bodega Bay, California

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

Nice smaller park that is well kept. Sites and roads are easy to navigate although some longer trailers had trouble in the back in spots. Utilities are set up nicely but water pressure was very low (20-30). Sites are all pea size gravel which tracks nicely into RV, I suggest an area rug or mat. Lots to do in the area and some great trails adjacent to the park. Many nice restaurants in area and a Mexican food restaurant just next door to the park. Park will hold any size RV, road getting there can be questionable though for a 45' bus. Couple of 15 mph curves had me over the lines. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Diego Metro KOA, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Not a big KOA fan but this park was very nice and close to most everything in San Diego. Very nice new pool and lots of cabins on one side of park with RVs on the other. As usual it's geared for kids and they looked to be having fun. Utilities were laid out well and site was level. We camped at San Diego Metro KOA in a Motorhome.

Morro Strand State Beach, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This place was filthy and basically not taken care of. Once grass areas were all wore out to dirt with bits and pieces of trash scattered in. The rear dune hill behind the FHU concrete sites has a huge squirrel problem, 100's of them and yes they get into the belly of your RV. This park is open to anyone from the the road that is atop of the dune that runs above the FHU sites. Surfers and Joe public were constantly crossing the hill to get to the beach. This also included some homeless people as the sun set and park ranger was gone. I very rarely lock all bay doors but I did here and slept with one eye open. Sites are very small and seems like rules are are ignored. Never again. We camped at Morro Strand State Beach in a Motorhome.

East Shore RV Park, San Dimas, California

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We visit family in the area each year and stay in East Shore and it has gotten out of control. It really isn't a rv park any longer. Someone mentioned " However, they have let so many full time residents into the park, most who have piles of junk around their rv, that it has seriously made this park no longer a place to stay". I estimate it has now reached a 80% full time renters not campers. Although many residents are tidy and have campers that are maintained, many are eyesores and not road worthy. The week we pulled in the park was going through a ownership change. The entire office was closed with no paper work and it was kind of chaotic for campers and residents alike. IMO it can only get better as it use to be a great park close to LA. Obstacles on the road were local residents with too many vehicles parked along their site. We camped at East Shore RV Park in a Motorhome.

Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park but next time I would want a assigned site number as there is some great MH sites (12?) and some not so good sites for the same price. Sites from about 35-50 are really nice full concrete MH sites. They have about a dozen pull through sites but they are very skinny and tight. They use the buddy system for utilities. Our assigned site was ok although it seemed to have full timers all around us and was gravel with a concrete patio pad. We reserved 6 months in advanced and several of the nicer sites were emptied with new arrivals daily. We stayed 4 nights so I guess it was just luck of the draw. First photo is our neighbor, 2nd is a nice site and third is our view of storage lot and I-17 interstate. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Route 66 RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Really a nicely laid out rv park and appears to be new. It would be a great rally park. Our 3 day visit had some very high winds daily that put a damper on outside activities. It is about 20 miles west of the I25/ I40 interchange and the highway signs and our navigation awareness were poor. It is exit 140 just like their web site states. WI/FI was poor, pedestal outlay was perfect, sat was good. Casino is a short parking lot drive or walk, could not see or hear traffic from I40. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $50.00

Real nice clean park close to down town Santa Fe. Level, good utilities and pretty quiet for being on a Main Street. Had a very weak sat signal (trees)but OTA signal was good. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Taos Valley RV Park & Campground, Taos, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Full hook up side of park does slope front to back. We needed to block tires. Park is all gravel with no grass or concrete pads. FHU side all used the buddy system for utilities. Power, water and WI-FI all worked well. My biggest gripe was a fully skirted (full timer) 18' TT who had a small fence area for his two dogs. 1 dog was part pit and aggressive. They escaped and ran loose twice in 3 days and barked non stop. I started to complain at the office and realized the dogs owner worked for the park. We camped at Taos Valley RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Sea Perch RV Resort, Yachats, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here a few days each year. Very nice small park that is full most every night during the camping season. Reservations are suggested. There is no cell service so no hot spots for internet service. Parks internet isn't what you would expect for the price range paid. I would rate it as poor. Cable tv is also on the poor side but clear skies for satellite service. Hookups are arranged very well and site pad was excellent. The beach is a few short steps and is only other patrons of the park. Sunsets nightly. We camped at Sea Perch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone, Verona, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We just needed a stop over on the way back home to the PNW from New England area. Found this park on Google maps and RV Park Reviews and what a find for you guys who travel this area frequently. It is more of a resort than a campground, fully paved with nice green grass between sites. Site pedestal was laid perfectly with very little hoses or cords being extended, power was right at 119 on leg one and 120 on the other. Water pressure was fine and cable TV was very good and clear. Didn't try OTA and a tree blocked our Dish reception. ATT was good but their WIFI was unsecured which seems normal for the area we visited. Park is a couple of miles off I90 for a easy access and not on the casino property per se. Casino supplies a shuttle if you need a lift. One of the best parks we have used in the past 6 weeks on our New England tour. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

We have camped in 48 states and this is by far the worst bang for the buck I have ever paid. Close to the falls (10 miles?) is about all I can say that was good. Don't forget your tailgater or hotspot - you'll need em. We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Days Inn Ritzville (formerly Cedars Inn Ritzville RV Park), Ritzville, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I'd rather stay overnight in a Walmart or even a rest stop. The outside security light went out about 11pm and a couple of cars stopped right next to our RV for a look see then left. I ended up sleeping with one eye open and couldn't wait for sunrise. We stayed here about 6 years ago and it looked exactly the same, terrible. I can't believe the place is still open. By far the worst place we have ever had to pay for. We camped at Days Inn Ritzville (formerly Cedars Inn Ritzville RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Mountain Valley RV Resort, Heber City, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

First off I never do these reviews but just thought I'd warn someone in the future.

Most all the sites in the P section have a slope issue, some more than others. We could not get level front to back without our rear axle off the pad a good 3-4". It also had a bad slope to the PS of the coach. We had to use blocks also under our jacks to get enough height.

I went to office and tried to get another site but they were full but did offer a refund. I happen to talk to another camper in a MH that had camped at this site before and they also had the same slope issue as we did.

Other than that it is a very nice park. Most sites didn't seem to have bad slope issue we did. I would stay here again with a level site. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Los Angeles / Pomona / Fairplex KOA, Pomona, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

I would never stay here again even though it is so close to the S Cali area. I realize there is not to many campgrounds to pick from but we have had better in the area many times.

For the price $55, the spots are very narrow to the point that room extensions will be pretty close to the camper next door. Forget the use of the awning or table, bbq etc.

Seems like it was mostly the local crowd from the LA area. The pool sounded and looked like the big attraction.

Prior to leaving I warned the office of a car parked in the roadway many days before we were to leave. This car parked in the roadway would make our exit impossible without backing out of our pull thru site. The office staff was useless when I voiced concern well in advance of our departure date.

Sure enough 8 am I needed to pull out and the car was parked in the roadway yet again another night.

Had to disconnect the towed and back out because of lack of management control of the campground.

Never again when such good camping is a stone throw away if you plan ahead. We camped at Los Angeles / Pomona / Fairplex KOA in a Motorhome.
