Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground, Salina, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Great park for overnight (or longer). Nice pull thru long enough to keep toad hooked up and still get hookups easily. Hookups are on drivers side. Great water pressure! Don't know what previous reviewer had problem with. Some full timers but everyone was quiet and area is neat and clean. Lovely area for playground and tent sites. Wonderful laundry. Washers $1.50, dryers .25 for 7.5 minutes. Rec room. They even have a pool opening on June. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

29 Palms Golf Resort, Twentynine Palms, California

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed 2 nights but would stay here again if in the area. Wifi is best near clubhouse and office. Trash is picked up daily; all you do is put the trash bag in front of site by 9 AM. The owners were nice and when there was a mistake with our assigned site he came quickly and resolved the problem even though it was after hours. There was concrete pad for parking your car next to the motorhome. There are other amenities at the RV park but we did not use any except the laundry facilities. Propane is available. Just know it's quite a mountainous drive to reach this area--up and down. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

We loved this RV park overlooking Lake Mead! No complaints at all! Recommend this park when touring the Las Vegas/Hoover Dam area. We even left the motorhome here and took a long day and went to Death Valley NP. We camped at Lake Mead RV Village in a Motorhome.

Black Bart's RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is convenient and right off I-40. We enjoyed out stay here and have no complaints. Park is full time around the edges and transients in the center. Lots of spaces. Space was nice and long for our motorhome and toad. The picnic table was on a concrete pad. Laundry was nice but 2 dryers out of 6 were out of order. $1.25 for washers. No Wifi or cable. My only complaint is I wish there was a privacy fence since out view was the next door truckstop. We camped at Black Bart's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sun Valley RV Resort (formerly Root 66 RV Park), Sun Valley, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a new owner since the last time we were there and things are not as nice. First off, even though he had taken my credit card to hold my reservation for a 50A site, he had given it away. We ended up with a small pull through 30A site which he finally agreed to charge $25 instead of $30 for a 50A. The electric hookup was hookup was in bad shape and needing repair. There is no wifi. On the positive side, the owner was trying to be helpful and the laundry was convenient. Definitely no more than an overnighter unless you get one of the 50A pull thrus in the front. We camped at Sun Valley RV Resort (formerly Root 66 RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Rancho Jurupa Park, Riverside, California

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful find in Riverside! Beautiful park. Most sites are large and have lovely green grass. Wonderful family camping with extras available for kids. Very helpful staff. Wifi was weak but worked at times. Our site was in area being developed so there was no grass yet. It was pull in, not pull through, but it was fine for us! We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Motorhome.

Ruins Road RV Park & Campground, Aztec, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nicest park I saw in this area. Owner was very helpful when I needed to add dates to my reservation. Sites are wide and pull through. Hook ups were good and we had great water pressure! Wifi was strong. River was close by. We camped at Ruins Road RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very nice FREE accommodation. We gave a donation for the electric. Great for overnighter. 7 sites but only 2 others were there beside us. Hookups were good. Easy in and out right off highway. Basically a nice parking lot. We would stay there again. We camped at Ray and Donna West Free RV Park in a Motorhome.

Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with some trees. Even though we were right beside the interstate it had a nice ambiance. It did not feel like a parking lot as so many campgrounds in this area are! We chose 30 Amp to take advantage of Passport America discount for 2 nights and Good Sam for the other night. Staff was very helpful. Nice laundromat on site as well as community room and gift shop. No problem with any of the hookups. We would stay here again. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Motorhome.

Rivers Edge RV Campground, Holt, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely quiet park on the Yellow River. Host was very friendly and helpful. We only spent 2 nights but many others are there longer or full time. Site was grass and quite spacious. Only negative was the sand tracked in so easily! Definitely need a door mat or rug. There was a laundry-$1.50 for washer and for dryer. Beautiful location and easy to get to off interstate. We camped at Rivers Edge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Roosevelt State Park, Morton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a gem of a state park! We love camping beside the lake. Quiet, beautiful, peaceful. We had our own deck and dock. So close to I-20 but you would never know it! We stay here whenever passing thru the area. Only negative is that interior roads are in need of repair in some spots, but we maneuvered ok with our 40' motorhome. Texas Rose RV Park, Tyler, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park just off interstate. Make sure to call for reservations. I only saw 4 pull thru spots for overnighters. It is quiet, owners live on site and are very friendly and helpful. Lots of amenities: picnic tables with grill, charcoal and starter provided. Grassy center circle with volleyball net, campfire ring, and playground. Also game room. I would stay here again. Duke's Slickrock Grill, Campground and RV Park, Hanksville, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We used this park while we explored the area and Capitol Reef NP. It was clean and had full hookups. It also had a very nice, grassy area for tents. Sites are all in "large parking lot" type area with a few trees common to this arid part of Utah. Restroom and showers looked nice. There was a laundromat, gift shop, and free wifi. There is also a restaurant on the property. We camped at Duke's Slickrock Grill, Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

AOK Camper Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This is a no frills place which is OK for an overnight stay. Most of park is full timers. Since there are no reservations and we got last open spot at 4 pm, you need a back up plan just in case! Looked like maybe 4 overnight spots open when we left the next morning. Hookups worked well and we were able to level easily despite potholes and ruts. Might be a mess if it's raining since sites are mostly dirt pull throughs. Good Verizon coverage and OTA TV channels. As others said, it's on the honor system, just put your money in envelope provided. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great location (and only big rig facility) right in national park. Shuttle stops at campground so you can get around easily. Sites were nice and level. Our only complaint was cable TV service didn't work since we have an older rv. So we attended and enjoyed Grand Canyon nightly programs instead. Wish they would give discount if you can't use cable TV. Our site was not long enough for our 40' motor home and toad. There were some sites that seemed longer however. Might want to specifically request that if needed. Definitely have reservations. It was full every night! We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Take shuttle as get off at all the overlooks to Hermits Rest. Gorgeous. Drive and stop at overlooks on way to Desert View. Lots of level paths for older hikers like us. Ranger Ron gives awesome Ranger talks (fire; geology). We also enjoyed history tour at 10 am. We spent 3 days and used it all.
