Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Some sites are unlevel and our site was a little unlevel front to back. This caused the front of the camper and front entry door to be higher than preferred. You could almost walk under the fifth wheel without having to duck. Otherwise the sites are fine. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Lots of activities for families to do. Nice laundry facilities, showers, pools, and camp store. We enjoyed our stay. We had a nice pull through site with a concrete parking pad and patio. We camped at Port Huron KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Toronto North / Cookstown KOA, Cookstown, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $88.00
Overall Rating:

Enjoyed our stay. Very friendly including local campers and staff. As others have shared, the park floods after rains. It dried up pretty quickly, but we had a small lake under the RV on the utilities side for the entire week of our stay. Patio sites are longer and probably worth the extra cost as the patio/table, etc. is very nice on these sites. Unfortunately, there weren't any available during our stay. The pool was clean and enjoyable. We didn't use any other activities, but there seemed to be plenty of things for those with young children. Showers were always clean with plenty of hot water. We camped at Toronto North / Cookstown KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We visited Canada's Wonderland which is a wonderful amusement park about 30 minutes to the south. We really enjoyed the variety of rides at this park. Hats off to our Canadian neighbors (we are from the US) for clean facilities, friendly service, nice roads, and a friendly and courteous atmosphere everywhere we went. We would definitely return.

Niagara Falls KOA, Niagara Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $118.00
Overall Rating:

Very tight park. We couldn't get a patio site or pull through as they were booked so got a back in site. The site was shared (looks like it used to be a large pull through but now are back to back with another camper). There was literally 3 feet between the back of our camper and the other guest's camper. Not a huge deal as everyone was super friendly, but it took up any extra length so that our truck had to be parked sideways on the edge of the road. Nice showers and amenities. Campground is on the public bus route with a stop at the park entrance making getting to the falls and nearby attractions extremely convenient. I would return, but would want a newer patio site. We camped at Niagara Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cordele KOA, Cordele, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a relatively small KOA right off the interstate. Even with its close proximity to I-75, it is a very quiet and peaceful place to overnight. The showers were dated and could use updating, but were clean with hot water. Our site was level, long, and easy in/out. The only negative for the actualy campsites was the grass needed cut. The lady in the office was very nice, welcoming, and super helpful getting us checked in and to our site. We camped at Cordele KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Carowinds Camp Wilderness Resort, Charlotte, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here to visit Carowinds Amusement Park so definitely worth the proximity as the campground is right next door. The showers, store/game room, pool, utilities were all top notch. We had a pull through site that was mostly dirt which was terrible when it rained. Otherwise, we loved the park, the employees and our stay. We camped at Carowinds Camp Wilderness Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

They have a shuttle that transports guests to the adjacent Carowinds Amusement Park. The campground pool is actually staffed by certified lifeguards from Carolina Harbor (Carowinds Water Park) and was perfect for an afternoon swim as many campground guests tend to visit the amusement park during the day.

Stonelick State Park, Pleasant Plain, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park before, but wanted to update the review since our recent stay. The shower house and restrooms have been updated. New tile and all new fixtures at the central shower house. Well kept and clean with hot water. There aren't full hook-up sites and the dump station was partially closed. The park staff said the dump station was on its last leg and was going to be updated (hope so). Otherwise, this is a very nice state park. Since it is in our home state, we will definitely return. Sites are spacious and level. We camped at Stonelick State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Mountain State Park, Jellico, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little state park in northern Tennessee. The only issue with the entire park is geese droppings. I'm not sure how they could manage this issue, but there is goose waste everywhere. Otherwise, the back-in sites are all updated concrete with patios. The shower house has been recently updated as well. We camped at Indian Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stone Mountain Park, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We had one of the premium "purple" sites that included: large wooden deck, picnic table, and gas grill. This loop is close to the pool, playground, camp store, etc. Even though it was a back in site, it was easy to enter and spacious. The grounds, pool, and other amenities were well cared for and and meticulously kept. There is plenty to do at this park; both paid and free. The staff throughout the park were all friendly and helpful. WiFi at the campground worked well. We camped at Stone Mountain Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Orlando / Kissimmee KOA, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We spent a week here while visiting Orlando attractions/theme parks. The only negative to offer is their WiFi is terrible (at least during our stay) even for light surfing and email. It kicks you off constantly even on the days when 1/2 the sites or more were unoccupied. The facilities and grounds are all top notch and well cared for/clean. The pool is open 23 hours which was great. Even so, the park was quiet and peaceful. Sites are easy in/out, level, and spacious throughout the entire campground. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We camped at Orlando / Kissimmee KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA, Kingsland, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on our way south for an overnight. Our site was level, easy in/easy out, and long enough to stay hooked up. The showers in this KOA are dated and could use updated, but were clean and hot (which is the important part). Although we didn't use the pool or other activities, there appears to be plenty for guests to do. The park was clean and quiet. We enjoy the complimentary waffle breakfast served daily at the camp store/office. It was a perfect place for us to spend the night. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

This is a "mega" RV Resort. It truly is a huge park. Golf cars are part of the camping/resort culture here and are very beneficial when traveling throughout the resort. All facilities and staff are top notch. No complaints to share! They have a large, updated water park that is well staffed with lifeguards and meticulously clean/cared for. Their list of amenities include multiple playgrounds, a skatepark, oceanside deck, volleyball courts, basketball courts, recreation hall, a mini golf course, general store, multiple snack bars, RV Center, a large laundry facility / laundry service, Golf Car rental/sales/service, and more right on site at the resort. This is a large resort. It is very busy in July, but we didn't have any issues during the official quiet time with noise or from other guests not respecting your camp space/privacy. As long as you aren't seeking isolation, I would recommend this park. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Wytheville KOA, Wytheville, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice KOA park with lots of family friendly activities. The bowling alley was neat and fun for the family. The pool has a nice slide for the kids, but the pool is on the small side and at least half is 8' deep making the shallow end more crowded. They have added on two sections of pull-through sites and we stayed in the newest section. This section has sloping gravel sites (not terrible, but for being the newest sites, very surprising). Utilities were all in great condition. Our auto-level worked on our site and was able to keep the wheels on the ground. However, there were several others that had wheels in the air. The pull through/backin sites behind the fun center (L1-L22) are all level and generally the best sites. Length of sites are great and space between sites is decent. Easy roads to navigate in the campground, but the road to the park is about a lane and a half wide (could be challenging for two RV's going in opposite directions, but not impossible). The WiFi was basically useless even for just surfing the web (kept kicking users off constantly). Overall a nice campground with lots to do. We would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Wytheville KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Duck Creek RV Resort, Muskegon, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful resort. Clean and well maintained. Friendly people that make your stay enjoyable. We actually came here to visit Michigan's Adventure Amusement Park, but enjoyed the amenities at the resort and Lake Michigan just as much. The hot tub was nice and there were adult only swim/spa hours from 9:00-11:00 each night. The sites are designed to meet today's rigs. Each site has a concrete parking space for tow vehicle or toad, and patio with built in fire ring. Very thoughtful in the complete design and layout of this park. One of the quietest parks we've ever been to at night during the posted quiet hours. We camped at Duck Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
