Walmar Manor Campground, Dillsburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed twice at this campground...once on the way down south and, two weeks later, on the way back north. Mix of seasonal and weekender campers. Full hookups at all sites, nice washrooms with showers, very clean and well setup laundry room and pleasant and professional staff. Came in after hours but the office had left very clear instructions as to what to do. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Walmar Manor Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Four Oaks RV Resort, Four Oaks, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Positives are close to I-95, full hookups available, and they accept Passport America. Everything else is negative. Run down park with mobile homes that have not been maintained at all, trains running right behind the park at all hours creating quite a bit of noise, a general feeling of unease, etc. We would not stay there again. We camped at Four Oaks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Santee State Park, Santee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Nice state park but the washrooms were a little run down and not well maintained. Site was huge and spacious with lots of trees and away from from other campers. Weather was terrible during our stay with a lot of rain so hard to get out and see things. Lots of places to hike and plenty of wildlife. We camped at Santee State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Plenty of golfing in the area and not far from a national wildlife refuge.

Sundowner RV Resort, Hayesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

A very friendly, safe RV park with everything you need to feel at home. The park is a good mix of seasonal and weekender sites, all of which are spacious and treed. The hookups are well located and include cable and free WiFi. Our hosts were super helpful, giving us lots of info on the area. We will be back to this very nice RV park. We camped at Sundowner RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Chatuge Golf Course right next to the park was gorgeous, well maintained, and reasonably priced. A short drive to charming tourist towns, and some of the best hiking in the Eastern US., as well as the highest point in Georgia (an easy hike!)

Hike, cycle, play golf, go to visit Hiawassee, Helen, Blue Ridge, Highlands, the Cherohalla Skyway and the Fontana Dam. This park is a little gem nestled in hills all around it!

Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground, Fancy Gap, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Beautifully located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, this is a hidden gem. Arrived late at night and the hosts were waiting for us and helped us setup in our site. Very modern shower and washroom facilities which were very well maintained. Nice views and hiking trails in the area....and, of course, the Blue Ridge Parkway!! We camped at Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground in a Travel Trailer.
