Mystic Quarry Resort, Canyon Lake, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park has tiny houses, lodges, TP's, tent and RV sites. We had great shade during the afternoon heat/sun but the branches did block the satellite receiver. Great pool, much better than average WiFi, nice amount of room between rigs, helpful and congenial employees, and located near some restaurants. The sites are gravel and our utilities were kinda spread out; the water and electrical hook ups were toward the back of the site and the sewer was at the front. Be aware of this when you position your rig. We enjoyed our stay here and will be back for a short respite from the big city. We camped at Mystic Quarry Resort in a Motorhome.

Lubbock RV Park, Lubbock, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The owners have big plans for this park. This is the only park I know of in West Texas with trees taller than 6'. This is our usual stopover in west Texas when heading west. It is a clean park with about 50% long term residents. The owners are friendly and accommodating. Oh ya, there's green lawn too! We camped at Lubbock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Don't take the loop to navigate here..... it's a Jeep trail! Use the interstate instead.

Chief Hosa Lodge & Campground, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This being the first "RV" Park in the US of A it is not a resort. It is what it says, a camp ground. That being said we love coming here. It is shady, cool, quiet, and laid back. A short walk up the trail and it is an awesome view with great sunsets! There was just enough room for out 37' RV and our towed. The site was undeveloped enough that the computer wouldn't let us try to level until we drove on some blocks....... then all was well....... but it was a long step to the ground. We will be back again! We camped at Chief Hosa Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Our go to stopover to and from Colorado. Not a destination but an overnight spot. You could stay longer and check out the volcano and Folsom...... the home of prehistoric Folsom Man. The Park is clean and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. We camped at Capulin RV Park & Camp in a Motorhome.

Pendaries RV Resort, Rociada, New Mexico

Overall Rating:

A quiet shady resort off the beaten path and a nice respite from today's world. Just what we were looking for. Trees blocked the Safelite, short distance to the golf course, and plenty of places for a nice leasurly stroll. We will be back! Thanks for the friendly accommodations. BJ's Campground, Lusk, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice place to stay in Lusk or anyplace in Wyoming. As we drove down the residential street to get to the park I noticed a lady standing in the middle of the road waving to signal that we were going in the correct direction. That lady is the very pleasant upbeat owner of the park. She escorted us to our camp site, and upon grounding the jacks she was there to help hook up the electrical and water. When we got all settled we met her at the office to do the paperwork and take payment. Then she directed us to a great restaurant in town and also to the best lawn to walk the dog. I was so exhausted that the next morning when my wife inquired about checkout time she told us "whenever you leave." This lady knows customer service. Thanks for your hospitality. I hope your park is full every night with good people. We camped at BJ's Campground in a Motorhome.

Beaver Lake Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Where do we start. These folks went way above and beyond to help us. We had our motor home in the shop in Rapid City over the fourth of July weekend, of course that only happens over a long holiday weekend. We unhooked the towed vehicle and drove to Beaver Lake Campground and discussed our situation since we had reservations for our stay in the Black Hills. They offered to rent us the last cabin they had, deduct our RV space cost and then asked what we were doing for the following night, since we were given to believe they could fix the rig in short order. If things didn't work out we could check with them the next morning and we could put our heads together and find an alternative since the cabin was rented for the holiday. Well, sure enough, the part wasn't available and had to be ordered and no one was sure if the supplier would be open on Monday. They rented us the owners 5th wheel which was in storage, cleaned it up, check the services like water and electrical and there we resided for 4 more days. So a big THANK YOU ALL and Y'ALL for your helpful problem solving, hospitality. Not only is Beaver Lake Campground a great park, with access to all the Black Hills has to offer, but also happens to have great people with compassion and hearts. Will I stay here again? You can put money on it. We camped at Beaver Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

a true oasis in the middle of west Texas. Get some trees to grow and you have the makings of a real Oasis. Paved roads, concrete slabs to park the rig on, long pull thru, ample power, cable, wifi even worked better than average. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but when walking the dog we went by and it looked great. Lots of grassy area around the pool and hot tubs and the dog area. Nicely done Oasis RV Resort. We will see you again when in the area. We stayed one night but if there were lots to do in Amarillo besides try a 72 oz steak and see cars stuck in the ground this would be our destination site. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

WillowWind RV Park, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This is not just any campground, this is a resort. Each site, except along the back row has grass and trees, and each are kept watered and manicured very nicely. An exceptional location in town, with paved streets and concrete parking. You can make this a destination "home" for all the national parks and sight seeing and actually feel good about going back "home" at the end of the day. This is the second best park I have had the pleasure of staying in. There are gas fire pits around the park to keep warm on those chilly nights and a doggie bath station for small to medium sized furry friends. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

High Desert RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

very clean park with good pull thru areas, dog runs that were actually clean, and overall a good place to spend the night. We went to dinner with some friends and found it to be convenient to the "big city". Also, it is very close to a filling station to either fuel up before camping or upon departure. We had neighbors on both sides but didn't feel cramped. There was room for slides and awnings and space left over. We camped at High Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lubbock RV Park, Lubbock, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here every time we pass thru on our way somewhere else. It's a good end of the day spot. I. Do not notice the airport noise but the hiway noise is getting louder as time passes, but won't disturb your sleep indoors. It is a clean park with many long term residents. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The only negative to this park is the drive on the loop around Lubbock to get here. I think I'll drive thru town next year!!! We camped at Lubbock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Greer's Pine Shadows, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

I am doing this review on my phone since it has LTE and the wifi is basically nonexistent. That said, it is a nice park in the pines with nice cool evenings. We are on our way to Utah and this is an ok place to overnight. There are lots of long term folk here but it is clean and pretty quiet considering the highway is right there. The staff was pleasant. We camped at Greer's Pine Shadows in a Motorhome.

Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I have read reviews on this park and comments about the owner. Well for the owner, she is a bit brisk and blunt so don't expect her to come out in a cheerleader outfit and be all peppy......ain't gonna happen. But she does not have a wart, she's just a brief blunt person. We had trouble maneuvering around the tree branches and negotiating our way into our sight. There arelittle shrubs they call trees and yellow posts marking camp sites . We had to drive back around and try a different angle and then once in the parking space the shrub prevented us from using our slides. I called and asked if we could move to another sight. We were told very abruptly that that one was reserved but she did assign us to another one which worked very well for us. I was not that impressed with the site for what I paid. I think I will see what else is available in the area or move on down the road next time. It is ok for a one night stay but that is about it. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wichita Falls RV Park, Wichita Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night on our way to Denver. We stayed at the state park when in the area before but opted to try something new this time. This is a nice park, hard to find, but nice. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There was shade which is needed in WF, TX in the summer. If ever back in the area I would stay here again. Sites are close together but not right on top of each other. It is quiet, clean and has a unique unfenced dog park. Cable was adequate and wifi was ok. We camped at Wichita Falls RV Park in a Motorhome.

Limon KOA, Limon, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We had a pull thru site with plenty of room for slides and awning. We were originally assigned a site right next to someone when there was plenty of room to spread the campers out in the mostly empty park. The owners were very accommodating and allowed us to move. I ordered Pizza and they delivered it promptly. That was fun and not a typical thing one does in a park. Everything is gravel which should be expected in eastern Colorado. It was an easy in and out park with plenty of room to maneuver a large rig. We camped at Limon KOA in a Motorhome.
