Tall Pines Resort, Lewes, Delaware

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

It is a large park tucked away in tall pine trees. Great location to Rehoboth Beach and Lewes. Those are the only positives.

There are mostly permanent aging RVs here. It would be kind to call it eccletic (although I did love the tiki bars some trailers had set up outside - very retro). The RV spaces were tightly packed in by the bath-house at the rear of the park. Do not come here in a tent!! The sites are literally located in the middle of two roads and two unlucky sites were within 3' of the dump station (T9 and T10 I believe).

There appear to be many amenities - a very tiny mini-golf area, public pool... I'm sure there was more, but we didn't walk the area too extensively.

We were there in a motor home and felt safe - but not enough to leave any equipment out after dark. We camped at Tall Pines Resort in a Motorhome.

Pontchartrain Landing, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

There are sink holes in an unlighted area behind 2 RV sites. There are several and are over 4' deep and lead down into the water of the river. There are timbers and concrete pieces in the holes.

After I fell into one, It took 2 days and 2 requests to get them to put yellow caution tape around the area. The management is non-responsive.

Not a safe RV park. It is located in an industrial area - down a poorly maintained road next to a marina.

The shower & laundry were clean (until I washed my muddy clothes & self). We couldn't use the 1st site we were assigned as it was not very level.

There is an on-site store & restaurant. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Agree completely with last reviewer. There is a nice grassy area at the side for dogs. Also lots of open area around the camp area for stretching the pooch's legs.

Nice safe area. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Branson Lakeside RV Park, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Fantastic location with all sites overlooking the water. Pretty much agree with previous reviews - close by everything, great walking trail access, good size dog fenced area, very friendly & helpful hosts. They actually tried to help with a cable TV problem we had - way above and beyond!

Just a couple of small things - prior RVs are not as careful as they should be about cleaning up after their dog- there was dig poop around the picnic table. Also - we were placed next to someone else although the park was almost empty. The problem arose with the water. We were told to shut off & disconnect the outside water at night as it was dipping below 32. Normally no problem, but as we were parked right next to another RV we shared the same water shutoff. Negotiations ensued to figure out who would be up latest to kill the water, remove the hoses & leave the faucets open. Didn't want to try to be neighborly & kill their water during a shower...

Minor problems at a very nice park. We camped at Branson Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Grab a fishing pole - walk 20' and bring home dinner. Lots of shopping within walking distance.

Sundermeier RV Park, Saint Charles, Missouri

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Really noisy - it seems to be under the airport flight path. Fortunately it only was for a few hours. No cable TV. Clerk rather clueless about attractions in the area. Lots of concrete and very little grass. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.
