Perry Lake Campground, Perry, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely unexpected gem of a small, 10 site county park. Beautiful setting in view of Perry Lake. Water hookup under cap in ground did fill with water in a heavy rain. Only one other RV there. County Rd 80 to park was horrible and in desperate need of resurfacing but went very slowly and made in. At $25 would stay again! We camped at Perry Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

T. O. Fuller State Park, Memphis, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Drive in was a bit concerning- low hanging branches on roadway, low electric wires, through industrial and residential area then heavily wooded. I actually got out of motorhome on way into park to may sure we could clear the overhead wires. Beautiful campground! Spaces rather tight together but heavily wooded and scenic. Roads a bit tight when towing but made it, barely and had to disconnect anyway at site. Great place to stay to explore Memphis. Park hosts attentive and patrol area regularly. Would stay again. We camped at T. O. Fuller State Park in a Motorhome.

Aux Arc COE , Ozark, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park right along the Arkansas River above one of the dams. Huge sites, water and electric. Some sites very open and others under trees. The sites under trees had a Y configuration, one driveway in and then divided into two sites. The more open ones had one driveway, covered ramada and plenty of room for extra cars. Note: DON'T take Sante Fe trail if GPS says to turn there- go a little farther to State Rd 309. 2 dump stations. We camped at Aux Arc COE in a Motorhome.

Oklahoma City East KOA, Choctaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Staff very friendly and helpful. After having been in the Southwest all winter, was great to camp amongst large oak trees. Those trees however meant navigating into and out of site a little challenging. Sites really close together but fairly long. Too many trees for satellite but lots of OTA stations from Oklahoma City. Nice gift store. We would return. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Delighted with our site. Full hook-ups, easy in pull through and had view of old farm implements and the surrounding hills. Sites can be very close together and we asked for an end site. Looks like the back in sites have more room. Easy drive into Sante Fe. Very clean and well kept up. The wrought iron bistro table and chairs was a nice touch on the site patio. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Route 66 RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Route 66 RV is a "have to stop" on our way North or South. Well designed in a 1950s/art deco style. Very new and modern with an amazing clubhouse- foosball, shuffleboard, pool table, free coffee, hot chocolate, big screen TV, laundry room, great showers. Our pull through had concrete drive, patio block, fire pit and picnic table. Area around patio was designed in different colored rocks. The sites are relatively spacious for a private RV park and all full hook up. Easy in and out with wide roads. Casino in walking distance or by shuttle. Great Buffet but don't expect to get rich at the slots! We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Route 66 RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is part of the Route 66 Casino complex. Although very expensive, the sites and amenities are deluxe. Really wide and long pull throughs with space between sites. The end sites are fantastic with desert views and a few native plants, fire ring and picnic table. The gravel surrounding the concrete pads are done in different colors in a simple design. The "club house" is well done and has gas fireplace, foosball, pool table, shuffleboard, big screen TV and free coffee. The casino's all you can eat crab buffet was great but only if you like seafood. The other offerings on Fridays were minimal. Casino didn't smell of smoke as bad as some and there is a very small non-smoking section. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Central State Park at Lake Arcadia, Edmond, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

There are several campground areas in the State Park. We stayed in the RV area and were lucky enough to get one of the ten full hookup sites. The RV section is on a peninsula with the electric and water only sites ringing the water. Very pretty, well wooded campground. May have difficulty putting out a lot of slides in some of the more heavily wooded sites. The roads in the campground are very, very narrow and the turns are tight. We made it fine in a 40 ft motorhome but had disconnected the tow car. Some sites are very hilly. We had to move the motorhome a few feet and re level as the auto jacks said excess slope. Check in without a ranger or reservations is rather confusing. Suggest checking which sites are available by the checking reserve board then finding campsite and return to kiosk to pay and fill out the forms. There are NOT reserve tags at the campsite, they are at the guard shack reserve board. Campsite have fire ring, stainless grill, picnic table, lantern hook and a counter! Close to Edmond for shopping. Lots of people fishing from shore. Fish jumping! We camped at Central State Park at Lake Arcadia in a Motorhome.

Eisenhower State Park, Osage City, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The camp ground was amazing. Stayed at the west equestrian campground with full hookups at a lake side site. The gravel pads are well kept up and really long. Sites are angled so that the RV's aren't right next to each other. Some sights very open and some with shade. The campground had a couple yurts and cabins too. Water pressure is high so a pressure regulator is advised. Lots of birds- including pelicans and herons! Will definitely return! We camped at Eisenhower State Park in a Motorhome.

Kozy Oaks Kamp, North Branch, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We really needed a campground for one night and was grateful to have found this on another camp search site. This is an older campground that has seen much better days, is a bit run down, but has a lot of potential under the new owners. Lots of trees, shade and grass in a park like setting. The roads are narrow and winding. We could not have exited our "pull through" site and made it through the curves and trees. It is NOT Big Rig friendly in the majority of sites and particularly those closest to the lake. It was even difficult to negotiate through the gate when towing. There are a lot of seasonal campers that are in a range of condition and repair and seems best suited for seasonal and local weekend campers with smaller trailers and tents. I did not see sewer hookups anywhere, even for the seasonals. I did see a number of Blue Boys. The hookups may be there, I just did not see anyone connected. When walking into the office/store was hit with the smell of mold and dampness. Despite the beautiful setting, just seemed overpriced for 30 amp, water and condition. We camped at Kozy Oaks Kamp in a Motorhome.

Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground, Apple Valley, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Lebanon Hills is a large regional park campground with a loop of full hook up site and two other loops of a mix of electric and no hook up sites. The RV loop is open to easily get satellite reception but most of the back in sites are fairly close together. It is very convenient to the Twin Cities area. The GPS directions will take you to a visitor center and difficult turn around that is not the campground. Call the campground ahead of time for the exact address. A wonderful forest setting in the middle of the city. We would definitely return to Lebanon Hills. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Dakotah Meadows RV Park, Prior Lake, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Dakota Meadows RV park is a very clean, well kept RV park. The back in sites are spacious for a private type campground. The pull through sites are tight with drivers side to drivers side parking and a good opportunity to get very close and know your neighbors. All are full hook ups and within walking distance and shuttle distance to Mystic Lake Casino. The laundry is small but clean. Everything is well landscaped and well-kept up. We were able to easily have our mail and Amazon deliveries made there. We camped at Dakotah Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Milton KOA, Milton, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

This is a huge park with a number of park models, seasonal and RV and tent sites. It is well arranged so the RV sites and park models are well seperated. The sites are really close together in the full hook up area. If asking for a pull through specify if level site is important as some of them are extremely hilly. Concrete pad sites are available at additional price and it is so not worth it. Seem to have lots for kids to do, pool, spa, baseball field and activities on weekends. It is very well maintained. For us it was great for an overnight but was overpriced and sites while long enough, are not wide enough. Driving out with a big rig was difficult maneuvering through the narrow park model roads. The exit roads are really narrow too and they would do well to widen them. We camped at Milton KOA in a Motorhome.

Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park, Effingham, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice campground with trees, grass and a lake. Office hosts are friendly and helpful. Sites are packed in tightly and can be difficult to maneuver large rigs. We had a pull through and still had to back out in order to make the tight turn to exit. Our motorhome door opened up to the neighbors door so it is good to be friendly as we shared a common area. Would be great for folks traveling together. Glad neither of us had a fire as one of the rings was almost directly under our slide. Other standard side by side sites were available though. They had a lounge open from 3-10 but we did not go in. The campground is well marked with signs when coming in as it is at the end of a local dead end road. We camped at Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only), Red Bay, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Hard to rate this- it was free to Tiffin customers coming in for service work under warranty. $25 a day for other Tiffin owners whose motorhomes are 4-10 years old. It is basically one long asphalt parking lot with full hook-ups. There can be up to 90 motorhomes parked waiting for service. The sites are so close we had to be careful putting out the awning. Having work done there is fascinating. Once you are called up, you drive your motorhome into a specific bay and at the end of the day return to your campsite. You move between the various functions in different bays - cabinet shop, tech area, mechanical, tile, windshield, paint. It is a massive, well tuned operation. Having spent 3 1/2 weeks there, hoping not to return anytime soon! We camped at Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

Tiffin motorhome factory tour is exceptional. Get to be right on the production floor and ask questions of the people putting the motorhomes together. Fascinating to see them from start to finish. Belmont Mississippi is their paint facility and visitors can go on the floor there. They just ask you not to touch the coaches! There is a great grocery store: the Big Star about a mile away.
