Waiiaka RV Park (formerly Waiiaka Trailer Haven), Yreka, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night heading north. VERY easy access from I5. Very well kept older park. Some permanent mobile homes on the north end of park. Site was gravel with a picnic table. Enough room for my 43 foot coach and toad and no problem putting the slides out. Did NOT have to disconnect toad. Good stable power. Good water pressure. Office lady was VERY nice and early in the evening she came by with a couple bags of popcorn! Very quiet even though it is only a block from the freeway. Nice fenced dog run. Will definitely stay here again if in the area ! We camped at Waiiaka RV Park (formerly Waiiaka Trailer Haven) in a Motorhome.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We visited this park in March, 2017. We stayed in the resort section of the park and it was VERY nice ! Huge concrete site with ample room for my 43' motor home and toad. The site was spotless and the location was great. Very quiet at night and lots of action during the day with people getting ready to go and enjoy the endless attractions in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants, best place to get fuel and shopping. Our site was next to the pool and that made for some noise in the early evening. Next time we will request a site away from the pool, but not a big deal. Dog walking area is convenient and has bags for disposal.. This is a very well laid out and managed park and we will return !!! We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Amazing sights to see in the area. Arches park, Canyonlands Park, Colorado river, etc. Such amazing scenery! We stayed here 4 nights and wish we could have stayed 2 weeks !! We will be back! If you want a fantastic pasta meal, visit Pasta Jay's downtown. It was so good we ate there 2 times !! Arrive early or be prepared for a wait.

The View Campground, Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The ONLY reason to stay here is the amazing scenery! This "park" is nothing more than a sloping hillside that has had a little grading to make it drive-able. We stayed one night. No hookups, VERY out of level site. Was not informed the park doesn't allow dogs when we called, we had 2 with us. Staff was unfriendly and acted like we were imposing on them by checking in. There is a $20.00 ENTRANCE fee on top of the cost for the camping site. Went to the hotel/restaurant. Walked into the restaurant wanting to have breakfast. There were 4, young Native American girls working. All of them looked at us and then proceeded to ignore us. We stood around and waited for about 5 minutes for one of them to acknowledge us and left. That pretty much sums up the overall attitude we encountered from most of the employees we came in contact with. I do have to mention, the 2 girls we dealt with in the gift shop were very friendly. We camped at The View Campground in a Motorhome.

McCloud RV Resort, McCloud, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This was a last minute stay. Just spent one night and LOVED it. Beautifully maintained park. Lots of grass and tall trees. Will absolutely stay here again!

Office staff seemed a little confused. When I called from about 20 miles away, was told there were no sites left that would accommodate my 43' MH. Was driving by about 1/2 hour later and thought it was a different RV park because of the sign on the highway. Called and talked to a different lady. This time was told they had room for me. Went back to them and got my spot ! So glad we stayed here. Even though the place was packed for an Elk Lodge camp out, had a great time and enjoyed all the friendly folks!! We camped at McCloud RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Shoreline RV Park & Campground, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Spent 2 nights. FANTASTIC view of the bay but beware, Fog horn sounds every 10 seconds. It was VERY windy. So bad, I pulled the slideouts in fearing the awnings would tear. This park needs work. Gravel roads have deep ruts. No facilities for disposing of dog waste.

Dog feces all along the berm separating the park from the beach.

Stay here only if you are a sound sleeper. We camped at Shoreline RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Village Camper Inn RV Park, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Spent one night here. VERY nice setting in the Redwoods. Close to all the fantastic Redwood attractions. Very nice and friendly staff. The 50 amp service socket was broken at my site. I call the office and they said they would repair it immediately. I was just staying one night and told them not to worry. The 30 amp service worked fine! First thing in the morning a very nice gentleman showed up to repair it. Really a great place to stay. Will definitely stay here again !!! We camped at Village Camper Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

We ate at the TGI Fridays in Sam's town and were very disappointed! Poor quality food for the price, $56.00 for dinner for the 2 of us. Sam's Town buffet is a good deal. Be sure to visit The Valley of Fire state park if you have the time. Simply Amazing !!!
