Bottomless Lakes State Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

About 7-8 miles off the main road but the roads are paved. Half of the spaces are reserved camping and half are on a first-come first-serve basis: some are pull through sites suitable for larger rigs. Most have electric and water, only a few have sewer also but there is a dump station at the entrance/exit of the park. The spaces are wide and have a picnic table and a permeate open gazebo on a cement pad next to the space. Its about a 20-25 min drive to Roswell. Good cell service for both AT&T and T-Mobile. We camped at Bottomless Lakes State Park in a Motorhome.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This place is your normal upscale RV resort. Nice, clean, spacious paved roads and flat cement pads. The spaces are not super close and separated by a grassy strip. This is a pretty large park but a large amount of it is private and only allowed use by it's members. Not cheap for just a 1 night pass through stay but a nice park. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Fontainebleau State Park, Mandeville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground and not just an RV park. The spaces are spacious and have a lot of room between them. Wooded but not too wooded that you can still get your satellite. Only a few of the RV sites have sewer but there is a dump site at the park exit, otherwise 50 amp power and water at the sites. I would stay here again. We camped at Fontainebleau State Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa RV Resort, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The park was very full and I was only able to get a back row spot that backs up to the freeway. This is a very nice park, if you don't stay in the back row. The freeway noise is loud and constant, the loud exhaust cars and motorcycles use the freeway as a drag strip in the evening and you can hear them as they accelerate by at triple digit speeds. This is the only reason it did not get a better rating. Spend the money and get a beachfront site or bring your earplugs. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Braunig Lake RV Resort, Elmendorf, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park with a lake in the middle. The spaces are very close to each other so don't plan on using your awning. The daily rates are close to the freeway so a lot of freeway noise and train horns while the back side of the lake seems to be for the permeant and semi-permeant customers. If you are just looking for a pack to park and sleep while you d your daytrips to Houston then its is a good value. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Jellystone Park of the Alabama Gulf Coast, Elberta, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice long pull-through, I could leave my trailer attached and still have lots of room. Spaces are wide and separated by tall, thin trees. Wi-Fi was adequate and free and the staff friendly. Nice place to get away and hang out at or as a base camp for sightseeing. They accept up to 5 days for the Passport America discount. Normal rate $38 a night, $19.76 a night with Passport America membership. This was favorite place to stay on my California to Florida cross country trip. I will absolutely stay here again if I'm in the area. We camped at Jellystone Park of the Alabama Gulf Coast in a Motorhome.

Bay Hide Away RV Park & Campground, Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice secluded forested area. Spaces are a little close but still have enough room for your awing and a table. Park was very quiet at night and the caretakers were very nice. Good place to either use as a base camp for sightseeing or to just hang out and relax at the RV. We camped at Bay Hide Away RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Space Center RV Park, League City, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The spaces are very narrow and the roads in the park are tight. Don't plan on extending your awing or leaving your tow attached. Staff is very nice and helpful and try to make your stay nice. The park is on the frontage road right off the freeway so its very loud, there also seemed to be a lot of working from the freeway construction job staying there so traffic inside the park in the early morning was also loud. Great location for visiting the Space Center because it is so close. Not someplace I would chose to hang out at the RV for a couple weeks for vacation.

Wi-Fi was high speed but not reliable, it only worked a few hours the first day I got there and then didn't work for the remaining two days. We camped at Space Center RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tombstone RV Park and Campground, Tombstone, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

First thing is do not follow your GPS as it will take you to the south side of the town. If you are coming southbound you will het the city limits and you start down a long downgrade. At the bottom of the downgrade the park is there on the right hand side: if you start up the hill following the GPS directions you have gone too far.

The park is on the small size and the spaces are tight. Don't plan on putting out your awnings. My 34 foot rig towing a car was too big for the stop and had to be disconnected. No over the air TV signal. ATT wireless was workable, 4G but not LTE service, and T-Mobile is worthless. Don't know about Verizon.

The people there are friendly and very helpful, they will try to make your stay a nice one. Overall a nice place if you are just needing a space while visiting Tombstone, not a place I would stay if I was gong to spend a lot of time hanging out at the RV. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Black Rock RV Village, Salome, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed during the big RV show so no discounts given. Mostly an older crowd and nice and quiet at night. I didn't see any showers nor do I use the parks restrooms so I can't comment on that. WIFI at the sites is non-existent. They say there is WiFi at the office and rec building but I did not use them. ATT service is good, no 4G LTE but good 4G. T-Mobile useless and only gets the EDGE network. Don't know about Verizon.

Good place to stay a night or two but definitely not if you have to have WIFI. We camped at Black Rock RV Village in a Motorhome.
