South Padre Island KOA, South Padre Island, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

The most friendly park I've visited. Lots of activities and everyone very welcoming. Staff helpful and friendly. Facilities clean and well maintained. The gravel on the sites could be a little less coarse as it made walking on it a little tricky. Pull throughs were easy access, and enough space between rigs, but not lots. Lots of activities in the park, both KOA organized and camper organized. Sunset Deck was a favorite and nice to have Pier 19 right there for nice meals. We camped at South Padre Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Colonia del Rey RV Park, Corpus Christi, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Staff were efficient and they and other residents I encountered were friendly. This park is mostly permanent or seasonal RVers. The washrooms were in not bad repair, but were pretty dirty when I went to use them at 6 pm. The WIFI didn't work at all. On one of my devices the server couldn't even be found and on another it was so weak it kept dropping out and I couldn't accomplish anything. It's location is not desirable, with busy road near where they put the transient campers. Not somewhere I'd recommend unless you were desperate. We camped at Colonia del Rey RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
