Sweetwater RV Park, Moneta, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Good RV parks on the Roanoke VA area simply didnt exist until this park opened. It is very clean, quiet, friendly staff, and near the late. The only negative is there is very little shade but the trees are growing. We camped at Sweetwater RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Gatlinburg East / Smoky Mountain KOA, Cosby, Tennessee

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The park is only ~2 years old and the lots are gravel until they made improvements and they continue to do so. The park is beautiful, very clean facilities. Really, the restrooms and showers are cleaner than most hotels I've been in. They often have live music with food on weekends. The park is very "outdoorsy" with large trees, this is not a manicured park but it is very well maintained. Cosby is a small town and good food is just down the road, literally. The owners are very friendly and will help you park your rig when you arrive. We camped at Gatlinburg East / Smoky Mountain KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cumberland Mountain State Park, Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great state park with nice large shaded or sunny lots. The price is great and the lots are well maintained. Lots may be reserved online. There is a good restaurant in the park, a lake with paddle boats and a large swimming pool. My family stays here quite often. We camped at Cumberland Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Crossville is a nice little town with two good restaurants probably 3 stars out of five. A nice downtown area to walk and there is a movie theatre.

Salem Village Mobile Home Park, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The park is a mobile home park and long term RV spots in the back which by the way is a flood plane and in the past six months we were evacuated by the city once. Other than that, the facility is fine but no restrooms or showers. There is a laundry room. The lots are clean and some are shaded, most aren't. I was there six months and all was well until.... I made one simple complaint and I was respectful and simply asked for a correction. The owner freaked and ordered me to leave within 24 hours. I had to pack up in 8 inches of snow. We camped at Salem Village Mobile Home Park in a Travel Trailer.
