Overall Rating:
Nice country park in beautiful woodsy setting. Nice little store and restaurant on site. Large fishing pond on site. Weak wifi.
Adjacent to main highway and big trucks roar by at all hours. We
camped at Rancheria RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Lassen NP & Burney McArthur Falls are nearby. Hat Creek has nice fishing. Town of Burney is cute and nearby.

Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, California
Date of Stay:
October, 2018 -
$65.00
Overall Rating:
Certainly NOT a "resort". But an excellent transit stop. I-5 is right there (and you certainly can hear its ceaseless din), many gas stations and places to eat. Way overpriced at a shameful $65...unless you arrive after the office closes at 9pm, in which case its a more realistic $32. We camped at Flag City RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Lodi is about 10 minutes east and has good food and shopping.

Nice park. Was a "mobile home" park but is transitioning to an RV park. Many full timers. Quiet, nice place. Air quality in Visalia is ranked among the worst in USA! We camped at Country Manor Mobile Home Community (55+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.
Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP...an hour or more away.

Golden Pines RV Resort & Campground, Camp Connell, California
Date of Stay:
September, 2018 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
This is a terrific little mountain RV park with great owners. I would give it 5 stars except for one TERRIBLE problem: Pine Sap! After just 2 days under these trees, my rig is literally drenched with it! Thousands of 1/4"+ blobs on EVERYTHING. My awning is probably ruined! You can't even walk around your rig without your shoe soles turning into clumps of pine/dirt, like asphalt. Ever try to remove pine sap? Its almost like epoxy. It will take days of hard work to clean up this mess, and even then, I'm sure there will be permanent damage. I've RV'd all over the USA and never faced this. Sadly, I'll not return here because of this.....:-( If you like cleaning pine sap, by all means stay here!!! We camped at Golden Pines RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Richardson Grove Campground & RV Park, Garberville, California
Date of Stay:
August, 2018 -
$36.00
Overall Rating:
This place is a former church property. Looks like it was quite an operation in its heyday- big auditorium with stage, large dining hall, many rental cabins (which look like they are seldom used) etc. But now, its run down and rather seedy indeed. I was told that the Hells Angels perodically rents the entire park for big rowdy goings-on....Nuf' said! The sites are poorly marked and often very off-level. Some face each other-no "private side". Lots of nice shade trees. There are many full-timers...rough looking characters...inconsiderate with loud trucks, bikes, stereos junk piled all around and barking dogs. All very sad, to us. The place is in a great location and has the potential to be great. We'd not stay there again because of these factors. Our sewer connection was plugged up and he was right there to fix it. We camped at Richardson Grove Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bodega Bay RV Park, Bodega Bay, California
Date of Stay:
June, 2018 -
$55.00
Overall Rating:
Nice little hillside RV park in Bodega Bay. Friendly staff. Nice facilities, not fancy but good. You'll need to level your rig...just about every site slopes downhill. I needed a stack of 3 orange levelers on one side. The sewer hose connections are all on the uphill side of your rig and are practically even or even higher than many rigs' discharge. I had to take my rig to their dump station to fully empty it. Water tastes bad and fouled my filter to brown in just 3 days. Bodega Bay can be VERY windy and cold. The site they gave me -45- was a virtual wind tunnel...like Antarctica. And an impromptu trailhead terminated in our very site...and people traipsed right through, nonplussed! Still, it's a nice little park. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Get the clam chowder at Spud Point....usually mobbed. Go up to Bodega Head. Visit Doran Beach. Prepare for icy gale winds at any time especially in Summer!! Bring lots of money. ...Bodega ain't cheap!
