Screamin' Eagle Campground, Ocean City, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I like visiting this park when it is not in season. It can be a bit overwhelming. The owner has done quite a bit of upgrades to his property. He's added more RV spaces but yet there are still spots for tent campers. We camped here in 2015 4th of July. It was BUSY and crowded. Hence, we will only camp here off season. It sits off the main access road to the beach so there were long lines of cars just wanting to get to the beach and when it was over long lines driving out. We camped at Screamin' Eagle Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go when its' not a holiday weekend. It's much more pleasant. Fishing was great! Oh and not sure how clam digs are but I'm sure it can get crazy too!

Belfair State Park, Belfair, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We had site 74. Dry camping with our toy hauler. Little did we know that the spot is tied to a big open spot for tents! It was perfect. It is close to the bathrooms and parking. Some people may not like it as it is at the entrance to the park but it was not bad at all. Also, you can dig for clams and oysters when the tide is low. Amazing 4th display of fireworks across the water. No fireworks on state parks. Thank goodness. We camped at Belfair State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to town. Safeway, Starbucks, a few fast food restaurants. Also we didn't checkout this trip but there are trials for dirt bikes, ATVs, and mountain bikes. Maybe next time. We came for the clam and oysters as well as the fireworks over the water.

Pacific Holiday RV Resort, Long Beach, Washington

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We will only visit this park off season. I cannot imagine what it would be like when they are fully booked. The spots are narrow and challenging to back into as well good luck if you want to use your awning or slide-out since there is only 4-5 feet between trailers. Some sites had very uneven parking for trailers. Sewer connection is limited or none if it rained heavily (due to water table). The connections are toward the back of the site so make sure you have long enough cords. The TV reception was grainy and because there were not many trailers we were able to get Wi-Fi reception. They did have a designated site to dump before you leave. It is the Pacific Northwest; it rains most of the time. Park needs a remodel as everything appeared very dated! Definitely, easy access to the beach and we were able to do a little clam digging. We camped at Pacific Holiday RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Ocean Mist, Ocean City, Washington

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This was our maiden voyage with our trailer. It was easy to find, good size spaces for awning and slide-outs. Nice walk thru trails to the beach. Pet friendly. Be sure to pick up after your pet. Stayed on the beach-side of the camp ground. Camp hosts were helpful and friendly. Checked out the club house but no events scheduled during our visit, kitchen was not operational nor was the hot-tub. Bathrooms were cleaned every day with lots of care. We were impressed with the clam cleaning station. We definitely will be back. We camped at Ocean Mist in a Travel Trailer.

Checkout the cabins, pretty neat. Next time we'll try the sunset dinner at the casino.
