Burlington / Anacortes KOA, Burlington, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

The campsite was clean, though people were allowed to let their dogs wander (watch your step). Lots of smoky fires on the weekend. Security was annoying, and confusing (wrist bands??). We couldn't even have someone visit us up on the weekend. Be prepared for some tough security. All guests must register and cannot park by the office, making parking in the CG very tight. NO VISITORS ON THE WEEKEND! Our friend couldn't even use the bathroom (even our bathroom). We met a local neighbor, and they said that this KOA recently changed hands. When the new security measures were implemented (electric gate), the lines on weekend caused traffic problems. We camped at Burlington / Anacortes KOA in a Motorhome.

Dow Creek Resort, Hoodsport, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

The park is a little rustic, with LOTS of trees (no satellite access but pretty good cable). There is a good mix of campsites from full hookups to tent sites. The laundry is a bit strange in that it is far away from the full hookup sites, and pretty deep into the campground. There are some nice trails accessible right from the CG. We camped at Dow Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

Jantzen Beach RV Park, Portland, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The good: Lots of new flowers and mulch, along with mature trees, so at first glance it was a great CG. The laundry room was big and clean, with no broken machines. The bad: Many sites are long term, and maybe even abandoned. Lots of "extra" vehicles. We got a site that was previously long-term, and the resident had the power turned off. Sewer connection was 3-4 inches below ground, maybe due to some previous landscaping. Driver side neighbor (5th wheel) seemed abandoned, with an unregistered car, trash & trash bags around and under the rig, and a shed being used as an over flowing dumpster. Passenger side neighbor (another 5th wheel) was clean and well maintained. Definitely a mixed bag, and the CG might be a work in progress (maybe some tenants are grandfathered in)? We camped at Jantzen Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.
